    Abstract:

    According to the requirement of small satellite vacuum leak Detection, a set of vacuum leak Detection Equipment is developed. This paper discusses the design of vacuum chamber and vacuum pumping system and the leak Detection system, the configuration of vacuum measurement, and the application of four pole mass spectrumeter. The debugging of the Equipment and the application are presented. The results show that the design requirements are met well.

    Abstract:

    Abstract : This report presents the criteria and computation methods to be used in determining eligibility of terminal locations for the establishment of Airport Surface Detection Equipment (ASDE) based on an economic analysis of the costs and benefits of this Equipment. The criteria compare the present value of ASDE benefits at a site with the present value of ASDE costs over a 20-year time frame. A location is eligible for ASDE establishment when the benefits which derive from operating the Equipment exceed the Installation and operation costs-the Benefit/Cost ratio Is greater than or equal to one. An ASCE meets discontinuance criteria when the costs of continued operation exceed the benefits-the Benefit/Cost ratio is less than one. The criteria have been revised from those published in December 1975, to include improved benefit algorithms, incorporate up-to-date methods of analysis. and adjust for changes in the aviation environment since 1975. Distinctions based on aircraft size are also eliminated. In addition, ASDE costs, accident rates and benefit unit values including values of statistical lives saved, injuries avoided, property damage, and passenger and aircraft time saved-have been updated to incorporate the most recent data. Based on projections of current future aviation activity, the new criteria, when applied. suggest those sites that should be considered candidates for ASDEs. When compared to the results at the time 1975 criteria were published, more sites now qualify for ASDEs. (AN)

    Food safety is the focus of the world attention.Screening test plays an important role in food safety monitoring.Rapid Detection Equipments with simple,fast and economical characteristics suits to this kind of tests.In this paper,rapid Detection Equipments were divided into 3 types:for the laboratory,for the on-line test,and for the field test.Through setting forth the principles of the immunoassay,enzyme inhibition,biosensors and PCR technologies,current application,research progress and development trend of rapid Detection Equipments in food safety areas were described.With the transformation of Chinese industrial development and consumption habits,rapid Detection technique and Equipment of microorganism would be a trend in China in the future.In addition,in view of the advantages and disadvantages in the rapid laboratory testing Equipment and on-site rapid testing Equipment,mobile laboratory would be an inevitable trend in the future.

    An evaluation of the applicability of multistatic radar concepts to the performance of airport surface Detection Equipment (ASDE) was performed via proof-of-concept (POC) experiments at Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI) during spring 2002. Multistatic radar configurations offer an effective means of mitigating against the Detection of multipath false targets that often affect the performance of ASDE radars, particularly through their impact on automated alerting systems designed to warn controllers of runway incursions during takeoff and landing procedures. This paper identifies key features of a multistatic radar system for this application and presents a number of experimental results obtained during the POC. In order to test the efficacy of the concept, a bistatic receiving and recording system (BRRS) was designed and built to receive and record bistatic scattered energy derived from transmissions emanating from the ASDE-3 K/sub u/ -band radar. This system and other supporting instrumentation used for the POC are also included. The results of the POC demonstrated that multistatic radar concepts applied to ASDE-type radars are realizable and are useful for mitigation against the Detection of multipath false targets.
