EHDIC-SWB is a population-based survey of 1381 adults living in two urban, low-income, racially integrated census tracts with no race Difference in income. Results in the National Health interview Survey, the obesity gender gap was larger in blacks than whites as follows: 7.7 percentage points (ppts; 95% confidence interval (CI): 3.4–11.9) in blacks versus −1.5 ppts (95% CI: −2.8 to −0.2) in whites. in EHDIC-SWB, the gender gap was similarly large for blacks and whites as follows: 15.3 ppts (95% CI: 8.6–22.0) in blacks versus 14.0 ppts (95% CI: 7.1–20.9) in whites. Conclusions in a racially integrated, low-income urban community, gender gaps in obesity prevalence were similar for blacks and whites.

Journal of Chinese Economic and Foreign Trade Studies, 2017Co-Authors: Ehsan RasoulinezhadAbstract:The purpose of this paper is to analyze specifications of the China’s foreign trade policy with Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) member countries.,The paper conducts three panel data estimations (fixed effect [FE], random effect [RE] and fully modified ordinary least squares [FMOLS]) based on the gravity model approach for bilateral trade patterns in natural resource and non-natural resource commodities between China and 13 OPEC members over the period of 1998-2014.,The findings reveal that the gravity equation fits the data reasonably well. The existence of long-term relationships between the bilateral trade flows and the main components of gravity model – GDP, income (GDP per capita), the Difference in income, exchange rate, the openness level, distance and WTO membership – through the FE, RE and the FMOLS approaches was confirmed. The estimation results show that the trade pattern between China and OPEC member countries relies on the Heckscher–Ohlin theory, thus being explained by Difference in factor endowments such as energy resources and technology.,To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this is the first attempt to examine the China’s foreign trade policy with the OPEC member countries through a gravity trade approach.

The estimation results show that the gravity equation fits the data reasonably well. We confirmed the existence of long term relationships between the bilateral trade flows and the main components of gravity model - GDP, income (GDP per capita), the Difference in income, exchange rate, the openness level, distance and WTO membership – through the Fixed effects (FE), Random effects (RE) and the FMOLS approaches. The findings show that the trade pattern between South Korea and OPEC member countries relies on the Heckscher-Ohlin (H-O) theory, thus being explained by Difference in factor endowments such as energy resources and technology. It is also found out that South Korea – OPEC trade is well explained by the factors that influence the energy security of South Korea such as oil reserves, transportation costs and political stability.
