The negotiation process gives different parties in the negotiation the ability to agree upon the Service level that a data stream can obtain, along with the permissible pricing of the Service.

    End-to-end Service delivery often includes transparently inserted Network Functions (NFs) in the path. Flexible Service chaining will require dynamic instantiation of both NFs and traffic forwarding overlays. Virtualization techniques in compute and networking, like cloud and Software Defined Networking (SDN), promise such flexibility for Service providers. However, patching together existing cloud and network control mechanisms necessarily puts one over the above, e.g., OpenDaylight under an OpenStack controller. We designed and implemented a joint cloud and network resource virtualization and programming API. In this demonstration, we show that our abstraction is capable for flexible Service chaining control over any technology Domains.

    Abstract:

    To cope with requirement changes flexibly and rapidly, the existing component-based paradigm is being evolved into a Service-oriented computing paradigm. The main characteristic of the Service-oriented computing paradigm is that Service-oriented applications are developed as loosely coupled Services that reflect business concerns. This paradigm also promotes business agility, facilitating quick reactions to business changes. Therefore, to enhance and support the benefits of the Service-oriented computing paradigm, we must consider how to improve flexibility and reusability during the development of Service-oriented applications. We propose the variability modeling approach to specify and control the common and distinguishing characteristics of Service-oriented applications. That is, the key concepts of product-line technology can be used to make Service-oriented applications more flexible and reusable. This paper describes variability modeling at two levels; the composition level and the specification level. At the composition level, we describe the variability of composition and the flow of Domain Services that fulfill business processes. At the specification level, we present a Domain Service that is an abstract Service with variability. The use of our systematic variability modeling approach can greatly increase the flexibility, applicability, and reusability of Service-oriented applications.

    Today, the software environment paradigm is shifting to Service-oriented computing, based on key features that reflect business concerns. The SOMA and SOUP methodologies can be used to develop Service-oriented applications. However, these approaches focus on developing monolithic Service applications. Therefore, we propose a feature-based reusable Domain Service development approach to create more reusable and flexible Domain Services offering commonality and variability.

    ABSTRACT Software product line engineering is an approach to creating core assets by systematically exploits common that can be highly reusableand different characteristics in related system families that is Domain. By adapting this approachin object and component paradigm, software productivity is extended. Recently, Software development paradigm is changed to Service oriented paradigm which is using Services that are core assets. Therefore, to develop Service oriented software more flexible, systematic and to enhance business agility about business changes, we need adaptation of product line to creation of Services that are core assets. In this paper, we propose an approach to create and specify Domain Service through combine of product line and Service oriented paradigm. Domain Service explicitly specifies commonality and variability by Domain Service common/optional property variability, operation type variability, message type variability.
