    An increasing number of radiology departments are using computers to facilitate management of radiologic information. Transcription, storage, and printing of radiologic reports are among the primary functions of a radiology information system. Consequently, manual signature of radiologic reports is being replaced by on-line Electronic Authentication. However, the utilities provided on most radiology information systems to review, edit, and otherwise manipulate radiologic reports are relatively crude compared with commercial word-processing and data-base management software available for personal computers.     Abstract:

    SM3 is a hash function, designed by Xiaoyun Wang et al. and published by the Chinese Commercial Cryptography Administration Office for the use of Electronic Authentication service system. The design of SM3 builds upon the design of the SHA-2 hash function, but introduces additional strengthening features. In this paper, we present boomerang distinguishers for the SM3 compression function reduced to 32 steps out of 64 steps with complexity 214.4, 33 steps with complexity 232.4, 34 steps with complexity 253.1 and 35 steps with complexity 2117.1. Examples of zero-sum quartets for the 32-step and 33-step SM3 compression function are provided. We also point out a slide-rotational property of SM3-XOR, which exists due to the fact that constants used in the steps are not independent.

    Abstract:

    Smart Cross-Border e-Government Systems for citizens and business have been recently proposed to further improve everyday lives, expand business fron-tiers, and facilitate the movement of citizens by reducing the constraints imposed by existing borders between federal states. Their main advantage is their ability to be used by governmental organizations, citizens, and business, in a cross border envi-ronment, thanks to the availability of recently developed Electronic Authentication, identification and signature platforms. These latest technological advances may con-tribute to solving the mobility issue of legitimate refugees in various European coun-tries. This problem has at the time of writing evolved into a major crisis due to the mass movement of hundreds of thousands of Syrian and Iraqi refugees across Europe and requires immediate attention. An implementation of Smart Cross-Border e-Government Systems appears to be a very good option in supporting the management of individuals and their movement in order to address this crisis.

    Recent innovative developments in ICT like Internet of Things, Cloud Computing and Big Data encourage further the design and application of “Smart e-Government Systems and applications” for citizens and business. These smart systems are aiming to further improve everyday lives, expand business frontiers, and facilitate the movement of citizens by reducing the constraints imposed by existing borders between Member States of a federation like in cases of the European Union, USA and Eurasian Economic Union. Furthermore, these systems provide the means to combat international terrorism, fraud and crime more effectively. They could also have a positive impact in many other areas such as Banking, Health, Justice, Forensic and Crime sectors of bilateral or global interrelations. Beyond the above important application areas, Smart e-Government Systems could have a considerable effect on the critically important areas of Life Sciences. Smart Cross-Border e-Government Systems will be characterized by their ability to be used by governmental organizations, citizens, business and any combination thereof independently of their location and nationality, in a cross border environment based on shared Electronic Authentication, identification and signature support services. Earlier on this year, common strategic policies and successfully implemented European Union projects have led to the availability of e-Authentication, e-Signature and e-Identification platforms. These latest technological advances dictate the redesign of existing and design of new Smart Cross-Border e-Government Services and Applications fully exploiting the ICT innovations.

    Abstract:

    As the basic application of PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) theories and technologies, Electronic Authentication services (thereinafter referred to as EAS) is defined as to provide authentic identities and identity verification services for participants involved in network-based activities. Due to its complexity of constructing PKI, most application systems including e-business platforms need to integrate EAS provided by a third party into their own business processes. Based on exploration on the requirements of EAS for e-business together with careful study and engineering practice in this area, this paper presents a complete solution of EAS based on PKI for enabling e-business. Architecture of EAS and its functionality components are brought forth and illustrated first. Then we brought forward a cross-domain trust model and method of managing different trust sources to achieve cross-domain trust and configurable trust-policy. To integrate EAS with e-business systems agilely, we put forward an agile integrating solution utilizing technologies such as web service and remote scripting.
