  • A Distributed Enterprise Application Platform Based
    2020
    Co-Authors: Yuejun Jiang, Meijuan Xu
    Abstract:

Enterprise Application always involves a variety of different technologies and machines. Because of this heterogeneity, Enterprise Application currently has problems of inflexibility and trivialness. To solve the problems, we proposed a distributed Enterprise Application platform based on SCA (Service Component Architecture). The design of the platform adopts a lot of advanced software techniques such as Interface Driven Design and Dependency Injection. The architecture of the platform is very flexible and the platform can be easily extended. The platform eliminates hard-coded dependencies and provides a declarative way to define policies (security, transaction, etc.); developers need only focus on business logic; components can be easily reused to form new services. A solution assembled with SCA can be distributed over one or more nodes in the network and can be reconfigured without programming changes. The advantages of the platform were illustrated through an example of practical Application.

  • A messaging-based architecture for Enterprise Application integration
Proceedings 15th International Conference on Data Engineering (Cat. No.99CB36337), 1999
    Co-Authors: T. Joseph
    Abstract:

This paper discusses a messaging-based architecture for Enterprise Application integration (EAI). The first generation of Enterprise Application integration focused on the problem of making data held by various Enterprise Applications available from a common location and in a common format. The current generation of EAI goes beyond this by also propagating and controlling the flow of business events from Application to Application as they occur. A flexible, robust and scalable messaging infrastructure is essential to this form of active integration.

  • JTang Synergy: A Service Oriented Architecture for Enterprise Application Integration
2007 11th International Conference on Computer Supported Cooperative Work in Design, 2007
Co-Authors: Hanwei Chen, Ying Li, Jinxiang Dong
    Abstract:

Over the last decade, the architectures and technologies used for Enterprise Application integration have been improved, and many companies have proposed varied solutions for integration. But these traditional approaches have some disadvantages such as high cost, poor flexibility and vendor lock-in. And now, the service oriented architecture, advanced in loose-couple, low cost and high integration ability, is thought to be the most advisable approach for business integration. In this paper, we introduce an SOA based Enterprise Application integration platform named JTang Synergy. JTang Synergy is composed of a basic integration platform, a supported platform, administration tools and development tools. As the core of JTang Synergy, the basic integration platform is implemented according to Java Business Integration which makes JTang Synergy more flexible and vendor-neutral. And we employed an event-based Enterprise service bus to realize integration. The supported framework and the tools ease JTang Synergy to develop and integrate services. And a scenario is introduced to illustrate the integration process using JTang Synergy.

  • Middleware-induced styles for Enterprise Application integration
Conference on Software Maintenance and Reengineering (CSMR'06), 2006
    Co-Authors: S. Giesecke
    Abstract:

In this paper, we describe a PhD project in which a method is devised to select a middleware platform for Enterprise Application integration (EAI). The method uses a taxonomy of middleware platforms that is based on the architectural styles that are induced by the middleware platforms. The focus in the selection process is on extra-functional properties of the systems based on the different styles rather than functional or data issues
