the Entry Behavior of aggressive rejected children the contributions of status and temperament
Social Development, 2006Co-Authors: Beverly J. WilsonAbstract:This study investigated the Entry Behavior and temperamental characteristics of aggressive/rejected and nonaggressive/popular kindergarten and first-grade children. An analog Entry situation was used to assess children's Entry skills. Aggressive/rejected children had more difficulty than nonaggressive/popular children delivering their Entry bids in a well-timed manner and engaged in more disruptive Entry strategies. They also tended to use more aggressive Entry strategies after experiencing Entry failure. The children's temperamental characteristics accounted for significant variance in their Entry Behavior. Temperamental fear made a positive contribution to children's use of socially appropriate Entry strategies. The children's status and impulsiveness each explained unique variance in their use of disruptive Entry strategies. Aggressive/rejected girls were more impulsive than other groups and tended to be less fearful.

Entry Behavior and emotion regulation abilities of developmentally delayed boys.
Developmental psychology, 1999Co-Authors: Beverly J. WilsonAbstract:This study investigated the social deficits of developmentally delayed children. Participants were 48 five-year-old to eight-year-old boys. Delayed children (n = 20) were compared with nondelayed children of similar chronological age (CA nondelayed; n = 20) and of similar mental age (n = 8). The Behavior and emotion regulation strategies of participants were assessed in an analogue Entry situation. Delayed children were just as able as nondelayed children to understand the play themes of others but were more intrusive in delivering their Entry attempts. Delayed children appeared to have less effective emotion regulation strategies for coping with Entry failure and were more likely to increase their use of disruptive Entry strategies over time than CA nondelayed children.

Influence of Problem Based Learning Model And Entry Behaviours on Student Biological Competency of Class X, Senior High School 4 Sungai Penuh
2019Co-Authors: Ingga Kharisma Degama, Ramadhan SumarminAbstract:: This study aims to determine the effect of Problem Based Learning and Entry Behavior on students' biological competencies. This research is a quasi experiment. The population of this study was the students of MIA SMA 4 Sungai Penuh, academic year 2018/2019. Sampling was done by Purposive sampling technique with students of class X MIA 5 as an experimental class treated with Problem Based Learning and class X MIA 3 as a control class treated with Direct Instruction model. The instruments used in this study were paper pencil test, and the attitude and skills by observation sheets. Data analyzed using the t-test for knowledge competencies, as well as the Mann Whitney U test for attitude and skill competencies. The results showed that the value of the biological knowledge competency of the experimental class students 82.34 better than control class students 75.3. The competency of the attitude and skills of the experimental class students is also better than the competency of attitude and control class skills. It can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning and Entry Behavior models increased the student competencies.

The Influence of Think Pair Share Model Assisted Student Worksheet And Student Entry Behavior on Biology Competence of Student Grade XI Senior High School 2 Siak Hulu
2018Co-Authors: Fadhlun Fitraini, Linda Advinda, Lufri, Ramadhan SumarminAbstract:The results of student learning on the learning of biology belongs to low. This study aims to determine the influence of cooperative learning model type think pair share with student worksheet and Entry Behavior of grade XI students of SMA Negeri 2 Siak Hulu to biology study competence. This type of research is experimental research , with a 2 x 2 shaped design (factorial design) . Population in this research is all student of class XI IPA at SMA Negeri 2 Siak Hulu. The sample of this study used two sample groups, namely the students of the experimental class and the students of the control class. This research instrument uses questionnaires , observation sheet, and test. Data analysis techniques consist of data descriptions, test requirements analysis, and hypothesis testing. The results showed that there is influence of cooperative learning model of types think pair share with the biology learning competence of students' cognitive domain, on high and low e ntry b ehavior , there is influence of cooperative learning model of types think pair share with the biology learning competence of students' affective domain, there is influence of cooperative learning model of types think pair share with the biology learning competence of students' psychomotor domain. Furthermore, there is an interaction between cooperative learning model type think pair share with student worksheet and e ntry b ehavior was student of grade XI SMA Negeri 2 Siak Hulu to biology study competence in the cognitif domain.

Effects of Cooperative Learning Model Type Games Teams Tournament (TGT) and Entry Behavior Student to Learning Competence Class XI IPA Senior High School 1 Lengayang
2018Co-Authors: Hendra Yunanda, Linda Advinda, Ramadhan SumarminAbstract:This study begins by learning competencies biology students who are still relatively low. This happens because teachers have not been using cooperative learning and teachers do not pay attention to the initial ability of students in learning. One effort that can be done to overcome these problems is to conduct research to implement cooperative learning model TGT taking into account prior knowledge of students. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of cooperative learning model TGT against learning competencies taking into account the students' Entry Behavior. This study is astudy. quasi-experimental The study population was a class XI student of senior high school 1 Lengayang enrolled in the second semester of academic year 2016/2017. Sampling was done by using purposive sampling and got class XI IPA 1 as an experimental class and class XI IPA 3 as the control class. Instruments used in the form of an objective test and observation sheet. Data analysis techniques to test the hypothesis is the t-test, two-way ANOVA test and Mann Whitney U test. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion, we obtain some conclusions, namely: the competence of cognitive learning, affective and psychomotor students who take TGT cooperative learning model is better than the students who follow the conventional learning; competence cognitive learning ability students beginning high and low follow TGT cooperative learning model is better than the students who follow the conventional learning; There is no interaction with the learning model students Entry Behavior to influence students' cognitive learning competencies.

Determinants of Entry in Turkish Manufacturing Industries
Small Business Economics, 2006Co-Authors: Burak Günalp, Seyit Mümin CilasunAbstract:The Entry of new firms into markets plays an important role in efficient resource allocation and evolution for long term economic growth. Employing dynamic panel data techniques, this paper investigates Entry Behavior in 66 four-digit Turkish manufacturing industries for the 1993–1999 period. The results of this paper suggest that potential entrants observe the market before the Entry takes place; Entry is, in general, a follow-up process; and incumbent firms seem to collude to prevent Entry in Turkish manufacturing industries. In addition, the real interest rate appears to be a very important determinant of Entry decision.

cognition and renewal comparing ceo and organizational effects on incumbent adaptation to technical change
Organization Science, 2009Co-Authors: J P Eggers, Sarah KaplanAbstract:We investigate the conditions under which managerial cognition affects the timing of incumbent Entry into a radical new technological market. We address this question using a longitudinal study of communications technology firms entering the fiber-optics product market. Using a hazard rate model, we investigate the relevance of cognition based on the direction of CEO attention. We find that attention toward the emerging technology and the affected industry is associated with faster Entry, and attention to existing technologies is associated with slower progress. Second, we assess the extent to which the effect of cognition is dependent upon the levels of relevant organizational factors and find that CEO attention to the emerging technology may amplify the effects of industry orientation. Managerial cognition is important in understanding organizational outcomes, and considering both the direction of cognition and its interaction with organizational factors provides a more nuanced view of Entry Behavior. These results contribute to the literatures on incumbent response to technical change and new product development by suggesting that context-specific managerial cognition has a separate and important influence on the degree and direction of strategic renewal. We argue that managerial cognition is therefore a dynamic managerial capability that can shape adaptation by established firms.
