  • analysis of quality of bimetallic rod after Extrusion Process
Journal of Materials Processing Technology, 2006
Co-Authors: S Berski, H Dyja, Andrzej Maranda, Jerzy Nowaczewski, G Banaszek
    Abstract:

Abstract In this article, an analysis of Extrusion Process of bimetallic rod is presented. Cylindrical, two-layered rod made by explosive cladding of the aluminium rod (1050A) and copper pipe (M1E) with appropriate chosen geometry was treated as a charge in the analysed Process. In the work an influence of die shape and Extrusion ratio on a charge yield in the Process was investigated. Theoretical analysis was prepared using commercial package Forge2 ® based on FEM. Theoretical studies were verified by experimental analysis prepared in the Institute of Modelling and Automation of Plastic Working Processes.
