Anti-static charge character of the plasma treated polyester Filter Fabric
Journal of Electrostatics, 2010Co-Authors: Ma Chongqi, Huang GuAbstract:Abstract Polyester Fabrics were subjected to low temperature plasma (LTP) exposure. The anti-static behaviours of the plasma treated Fabric were greatly improved. The discharge power of 50 V and the electrode gap of 4 mm were recommended for an optimum result. Acrylic acid treatment further enhanced the anti-static properties of the specimens. Influences of the acid concentration, the treating duration and the temperate during the acrylic acid treatment on the anti-static properties of the Fabric were revealed.

Immobilization of modified hydroxyapatite particles onto PET Filter Fabric for adsorption property
Journal of Industrial Textiles, 2015Co-Authors: Zhen Jiang, Xiao Wang, Li Hua Lv, Guibing PangAbstract:Polymer chains were introduced to esterified hydroxyapatite particle surface with methacrylic acid for modification and subsequently modified particles were immobilized onto PET Filter Fabric via heat fusion method to impart adsorption property. The polymerization process of methyl methacrylate on esterified hydroxyapatite surface was optimized and effects of treating time, temperature, particle size, and concentration on immobilization ratio and pore size of Filter Fabric were discussed. FTIR were applied to characterize the structure of modified hydroxyapatite and treated PET Filter Fabric. TG was used to determine average chain length of grafted polymer on particles. The results showed that polymer chain with length of 13.57 (mole ratio to hydroxyapatite) was introduced to particle surface and modified particles were embedded onto PET Filter Fabric with a hydroxyapatite immobilization ratio of 63.6% and pore size of 102.3 µm under optimum conditions. Cadmium adsorption amount of 118.4 mg/g was achieved...

Immobilization of Hydroxyapatite Particles onto PET Filter Fabric via Heat Treatment
Materials Science Forum, 2015Co-Authors: Zhen Jiang, Xiao Wang, Li Hua LvAbstract:Heat fusion method and hot-press method were applied to immobilize hydroxyapatite (HAp) particles onto the surface of PET Filter Fabric separately. The effects of treating temperature, treating time and HAp amount on immobilization rate of HAp and pore size of Filter Fabric were discussed. The high immobilization rate of HAp could be obtained and pore size could be maintained. FTIR, SEM and XRD were used to characterize the structure of Filter Fabric embedded with HAp particles. Good adsorption property of Cd2+ onto HAp immobilized Filter Fabric was achieved.

A measurement method of pore size evaluation of Filter Fabric
Measurement, 2012Co-Authors: Xiao Wang, Chun LiAbstract:Abstract A measurement method for pore size evaluation of Filter Fabric is introduced in this article, based on the principles of capillary flow and hydrostatic pressure in a liquid. The bubbling pressure difference is controlled by the applied gas pressure and the depth of liquid. Comparing with the existing bubble pressure test method, the specimen is initially placed vertically with a given liquid and air on each side. A pore diameter of the largest pore and a mean pore size are determined at each pressure instead of the exclusive initial bubble point pressure and open bubble point pressure. Several random mean pore sizes are measured by a designed instrument using this method and the mean value is regarded as the equivalent pore size of the tested specimen. Scatter range of measurement values of pore size is evaluated by Type A uncertainty. Experiments are conducted on several kinds of Filter Fabric. The results show that the uncertainty values are all less than 3.00, which validates the stability and reproducibility of this method for the measurement of pore size.
