  • ROBUST STABILITY ANALYSIS OF Generic Model CONTROL
    Chemical Engineering Communications, 1992
    Co-Authors: Weibiao Zhou, Peter L. Lee, G. R. Sullivan
    Abstract:

In this paper, the robust stability of Generic Model Control (GMC) is analyzed under the condition that the explicit control law is available. This anslysis is performed by finding a strict Lyapunov function for the nominal process and applying a perturbation theorem. Based on the passivity theorem, a procedure to synthesize a robust stable GMC controller is proposed for a given set of orocesses. The significance of this aonroach is discussed as well as its disadvantages.

    Abstract:

Abstract Control in the face of process constraints is of great practical importance in the processing industries. This paper examines the use of Generic Model

  • Change in early sessions of dynamic therapy: universal processes and the Generic Model of psychotherapy.
Journal of consulting and clinical psychology, 1996
    Co-Authors: Gregory G. Kolden
    Abstract:

The Generic Model of psychotherapy is offered as a transtheoretical Model of universal change processes. Session 3 change processes are examined in a naturalistic study of dynamic therapy guided by the Generic Model. Findings replicate and extend earlier work addressing propositions of the Generic Model in dynamic therapy. Openness and bond contributed to in-session realizations, whereas bond and realizations fostered session progress. Session progress, bond, use of experiential operations, and less frequent use of dynamic interventions contributed to change between Sessions 2 and 4. Discussion outlines a Model of change in early dynamic therapy and highlights the usefulness of the Generic Model for the evaluation of change processes.

  • The Generic Model of psychotherapy: An empirical investigation of patterns of process and outcome relationships
    Psychotherapy Research, 1991
    Co-Authors: Gregory G. Kolden
    Abstract:

What is effectively therapeutic about psychotherapy? The Generic Model of psychotherapy provides an empirically valid conceptual representation of psychotherapy process and outcome relationships that begins to answer this question. It provides a theoretical foundation from which research investigating complex process-outcome relationships common to all psychotherapies can proceed. Moreover, the Generic Model is of sufficient breadth to direct empirical investigations of general principles of psychotherapeutic change. At the same time, it is of sufficient specificity to guide research that has relevance for the practicing clinician. The findings reported here also demonstrate the utility of the Generic Model for guiding exploratory psychotherapy research that aims to identify emerging patterns of relationships between process and outcome.

  • The Generic Model for Pervasive Information System
Journal of Emerging Technologies in Web Intelligence, 2012
Co-Authors: Fatma Achour, Anis Jedidi, Faiez Gargouri
    Abstract:

The ubiquitous computing-also called pervasive computing-regroups the characteristics of mobile computing and the techniques of context-awareness that are flexible, adaptable, and capable of acting autonomously on behalf of users. However, the pervasive computing introduces a variety of software, hardware and users engineering challenges. The pervasive computing Modeling is a new research area. Indeed, we are interested in purposing methodology for Modeling pervasive systems. This paper provides an overview of proposed Generic Model of pervasive information system. We also propose an instantiation process to validate this Generic Model. The Generic Model validation is realized by two ways; manually and automatically. The last way is obtained by the creation of automatic system of OWL instantiation. This purposed Generic Model represents the highest level of abstraction. It only presents the general concepts of pervasive system.

  • Towards a Generic Model for object-oriented information system Modelling
    Journal of Intelligent Manufacturing, 1997
Co-Authors: Faiez Gargouri, Charles Franc¸ois Ducateau, Faouzi Boufare`s
    Abstract:

With the proliferation of object-oriented methods for information systems design, and the terminology used by each one, an intermediate step is indispensable in the transition between the design and the different implementation environments. Regardless of any method, this step aims at the unification of all concepts in a Generic Model called MGCO2.

  • Generic Model of mmc vsc hvdc for interaction study with ac power system
IEEE Transactions on Power Systems, 2016
Co-Authors: Ngoc Tuan Trinh, Marcus Zeller, Klaus Wuerflinger, I Erlich
    Abstract:

This paper presents a Generic rms Model of voltage source converter (VSC) in modular multilevel converter (MMC) topology for high-voltage direct current (HVDC) application. The Generic rms Model is suitable for stability analysis of a MMC-VSC-HVDC interconnected to ac power system. Based on the rms Model, a linearized Model for analytical Model analysis is also developed and described. The parameters of the Generic rms Model are identified via an established averaged EMT Model. The dynamic performance of the proposed Generic Model is tested in both time and frequency domain analysis using a typical high-voltage transmission system.

  • Adaptive generalized Generic Model control and stability analysis
    Computers & Chemical Engineering, 2003
    Co-Authors: D. Wang, D.h. Zhou, Yihui Jin, A.s. Morse
    Abstract:

Abstract In this article, an adaptive control method—adaptive generalized Generic Model control (AGGMC) is proposed for a class of nonlinear time-varying processes by use of a modified strong tracking filter (MSTF). It inherits all of the advantages of Generic Model control (GMC) and extends GMC to nonlinear time-varying processes with relative orders larger than ones. Sufficient conditions under which the MSTF is asymptotically convergent are first derived, then, with these conditions, the resultant closed-loop system under the AGGMC is proved to be Lyapunov stable. Finally, simulation studies are provided to validate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
