  • Sistema de apoio à solução de não-conformidades: um estudo de caso na extrusão de alumínio
    2014
    Co-Authors: Pacheco, Nazareno De Oliveira
    Abstract:

In this sense, it is proposed a MAS-based model to support the solution of nonconformance problems in manufacturing processes in order to overcome the difficulties related to both the nature of knowledge and on its distribution. The distribution adopted in the model considers both the Geographical Aspect of the sources and the fragmentation related to existing processes in the production chain. From this perspective, agents were developed whose behavior includes the use of case-based reasoning and retrieval methods based on ontologies. Finally, a software prototype was developed to allow the verification and validation of the proposed model, and the foundations of knowledge manipulated by the system are instantiated with knowledge in the field of the aluminum extrusion process obtained from the literature and from a company that manufactures parts via aluminum extrusion, with emphasis on the 60xx alloy

  • Development of Geospatial Dashboard with Analytic Hierarchy Processing for the Expansion of Branch Office Location
    2020
    Co-Authors: Adrian Nuradiansyah, Indra Budi
    Abstract:

Abstract. One of the considered business opportunities that exploit the Geographical Aspect is the branch office expansion. However, this activity still has some problems to learn various location criteria, either in quantitative or qualitative form. Moreover, there is a need to analyze those criteria quickly to get a proper location priority that will be expanded. Therefore, this research develops a semantic technology of the form geospatial dashboard using analytic hierarchy processing (AHP) method that can display the distribution of location and its criteria in a map. Furthermore, it recommends the list of top priority locations will be expanded implicitly from the various kinds of data. This research takes a case study in one local company in Indonesia. At the end, this research shows that geospatial dashboard using AHP method is considered capable of producing accurate solution up to 90.48% to determine the priority order of locations to be expanded

  • A FOSSIL WOOD OF DIPTEROCARPACEAE FROM PLIOCENE DEPOSIT IN THE WEST REGION OF JAVA ISLAND, INDONESIA.
'Research Development and Innovation Agency Ministry of Environment and Forestry', 2017
    Co-Authors: Mandang Mandang, Noriko Kagemori
    Abstract:

Fossil woods in Java Island have been excavated and sold for outdoor ornaments or indoor decoration purposes since 30 years ago. These fossils are in danger of being drained out without known identities, composition and history. This study was aimed to find out the botanical identity and Geographical Aspect of a newly discovered silicified fossil wood from Banten area in the west region of Java Island. The fossil trunk 28 m in length and 105 cm in diameter was buried in a tuffaceous sandstone layer. The age of the stratum was thought to be Lower Pliocene. A small sample was cut from the outer part of the log and then ground to obtain thin section for anatomical observation. The main anatomical features of the fossil wood are as follows: wood diffuse porous; vessel almost exclusively solitary, vascicentric tracheid present; axial intercellular canal present, distributed in long tangential rows; fibers with distinctly bordered pit; rays heterocellular multiseriate; crystals present in the enlarged parenchyma cells. These features show affinities of the fossil wood to the extant wood Dryobalanops of the family Dipterocarpaceae, regardless of the fact that this genus does no longer exist living in the natural forest of the present day Java Island

  • desalination network model driven decision support system a case study of saudi arabia
    Desalination, 2017
Co-Authors: Takuto Ishimatsu, Abdelkrim Doufene, Abdullah Alawad, Olivie De Weck
    Abstract:

Abstract This study aims to develop a network model driven platform that supports decision-makers to make well-informed decisions for the efficient water supplies, taking Saudi Arabia as a case study. The water/energy network analysis should be able to identify optimal locations for sustainable desalination infrastructure investments, accounting for the existing assets and the current investment plans. The Geographical Aspect of individual resource production and distribution can be quantitatively handled by a graph-theoretic approach. This study employs a new multicommodity network flow model called the INFINIT (interdependent network flows with induced internal transformation) model, which enables to address water-energy nexus issues and to optimize the flow of multiple resources as well as placement of new water/energy facilities at the individual facility level. The INFINIT model in this study formulates and solves mixed-integer linear programming (MILP) problems to minimize the designated multi-objective functions of the total cost and CO2 emission. As a result of optimization, the Pareto-optimal solutions with different network flow topology and the downselected potential locations for new facilities are obtained. To effectively visualize alternative design and policy scenarios, two ways of visualization of the results are developed: a MATLAB-based graphical user interface and tabletop 3D map projection.
