    Abstract:

    HodgkinsLymphoma (HL) which has relapsed post or is refractory to autologous bone marrow transplant presents an ongoing treatment challenge. Development of monoclonal antibodies (mAb) for the treatment of HL has aimed to replicate the success of mAb therapy in the treatment on Non Hodgkins Lymphoma. The identification of CD30 as a potential target for treatment has led to the development of a new antibody-drug conjugate, brentuximab vedotin (SGN-35), which conjugates monomethyl auristatin E to an anti-CD30 antibody to deliver targeted toxicity to the malignant Reed Sternberg cells of HL. This review describes CD30 as an antibody target, and focuses on the antibody-drug conjugate brentuximab vedotin, including current knowledge of the mechanism of action, preclinical, clinical and pharmacokinetic data available for Brentuximab Vedotin.

    Abstract:

    We report a case of a 60-year-old woman, diagnosed as a case of non Hodgkins Lymphoma (NHL), referred for F-18 fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) following 6 cycles of chemotherapy to evaluate response to therapy. The scan revealed a curvilinear pattern of FDG accumulation in the midline extending anteroposteriorly, just adjacent to the inner table of the skull on the fused PET/CT images with no corresponding abnormality on the low-dose CT. Because this site anatomically corresponded to that of the sagittal sinus, an MRI and magnetic resonance venography was advised which confirmed the presence of sagittal sinus tumor deposits. This case highlights the pattern of sagittal sinus tumor thrombosis on FDG PET/CT and the possibility of its occurrence in NHL.

    Abstract- Extranodal natural killer/T cell Lymphoma, nasal type, is a Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma, most commonly affecting the nasal cavity, paranasal sinuses and nasopharynx. Clinically it is characterised by destruction of facial tissues, commencing in the midline. In most cases it either arises from malignant transformation of natural killer cells (NK) or cytotoxic T cells. Extranodal NK/T cell Lymphoma, nasal type, is rare, but even rarer in females. The purpose of this article is to report a severe case of extranodal NK/T cell Lymphoma, nasal type, in young south Indian female and improvement of midfacial swelling after radiotherapy.
