epidemiology and eradication of Infectious Bovine Rhinotracheitis Infectious pustular vulvovaginitis ibr ipv virus in finland
Acta Veterinaria Scandinavica, 2007Co-Authors: Lasse Nuotio, Erkki Neuvonen, Mauno HyytiainenAbstract:Background Infectious Bovine Rhinotracheitis/Infectious pustular vulvovaginitis (IBR/IPV) is a significant disease among domestic and wild cattle. The BHV-1 infection was first detected in Finland in 1970; presumably it was imported in 1968. The infection reappeared in the large-scale bulk-tank milk surveillances which started in 1990, and was eradicated in 1994. Our aim is to describe the epidemiology of this infection in Finland, and its eradication.

determination of cultural conditions of Infectious Bovine Rhinotracheitis virus strain bm
Annals of agrarian science, 2016Co-Authors: Myroslava Hulyanych, Vitalii Nedosekov, Yurii SobkoAbstract:Abstract The purpose of our research was to determine cultural properties and cultural conditions of the Infectious Bovine Rhinotracheitis virus of “BM” strain. Sensitivity of different cell lines to IBR virus was studied. The most effective system for cultivation of IBR virus turned MDBK cell line. Optimum multiplicity of infection was 0.01 TCD 50 /cell in which Infectious virus replication activity is the highest. The research work proved that influence of maintenance medium and the presence of serum had no effect on the virus productivity. It was also proved that the method of infection significantly effects on intensity of accumulation of the virus.

An adventitious viral contaminant in commercially supplied A549 cells: identification of Infectious Bovine Rhinotracheitis virus and its impact on diagnosis of infection in clinical specimens.
Journal of clinical microbiology, 1992Co-Authors: C. K. Y. Fong, M. L. LandryAbstract:The isolation and identification of an adventitious viral agent, Infectious Bovine Rhinotracheitis virus, in one lot of A549 cells from a commercial supplier is described in this report. The presence of Infectious Bovine Rhinotracheitis virus in A549 cells was unexpected and has caused problems in the diagnosis of infections in clinical specimens in three laboratories.
