The British journal of radiology, 1995Co-Authors: R AminAbstract:Abstract Malignant mesothelioma of the tunica vaginalis testis is an extremely rare tumour. So far less than 50 cases have been reported in the literature. Radical Inguinal Orchiectomy appears to be the optimal treatment. Upon recurrence, treatment remains unsatisfactory. A further case is reported here, where the disease ran an indolent course despite several recurrences after initial treatment.

Leiomyosarcoma of the spermatic cord: report of two cases and review of the literature

Preoperative ultrasound disclosed a paratesticular tumor. Inguinal Orchiectomy was performed; there was no adjuvant treatment. Currently there is no evidence of disease after 12 and 24 months of follow-up. The literature on this rare condition is reviewed.

Solitary skull recurrence from stage I seminomatous germ cell tumor of testis.

WitjesAbstract:We describe a 35-year-old man who was initially treated with standard Inguinal Orchiectomy and prophylactic radiotherapy for Stage I seminomatous germ cell tumor of the testis. We report the case because of the unique nature of the later disease recurrence, which was a solitary cranial bony recurrence that extended both intracranially and extracranially. The patient had complete remission after combined cisplatin-based chemotherapy.

Solitary Testicular Metastasis of Prostate Cancer Mimicking Primary Testicular Cancer

A 68-year-old patient presented with a right testicular mass with discomfort. He had a history of robot-assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy and had received adjuvant radiation therapy and had been treated with androgen deprivation therapy continuously at another institution. We performed a right Inguinal Orchiectomy. The testicular mass was diagnosed as a metastasis from prostate carcinoma.

Testicular metastasis from an extramedullary plasmacytoma

It usually arises in the medulla; thus, extramedullary plasmacytoma is rare, and metastatic testicular tumors are also infrequent. In this report, we present a case of testicular metastasis from an extramedullary plasmacytoma involving the nasopharynx, with good control being achieved by surgery (left high Inguinal Orchiectomy) and vincristine, adriamycin, and dexamethasone (VAD) chemotherapy.
