  • Fast coherent Integration method for moving target detection with random PRI variation
    Electronics Letters, 2020
    Co-Authors: Huajian Xu
    Abstract:

This Letter addresses the coherent Integration Problem for the moving target detection in a pulse repetition interval (PRI)-staggered radar system. Due to the random sampling, the complex coupling effects between range and azimuth will severely degrade the target parameter estimation and coherent Integration performance. To deal with this issue, a fast coherent Integration detection method with random azimuth sampling is proposed, where range migration is firstly compensated by applying the range-frequency reversal transform. Then, the random phase fluctuation caused by the staggered PRI can be efficiently removed by applying the non-uniform FFT technique. Finally, a moving target can be well focused. Simulated results are provided to validate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

  • A Coherent Integration Method for Moving Target Detection Using Frequency Agile Radar
IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Letters, 2019
Co-Authors: Penghui Huang, Shuoshuo Dong, Xue Jiang, Guisheng Liao, Huajian Xu
    Abstract:

This letter addresses the coherent Integration Problem for the moving target detection in a frequency agile radar system. Due to the random phase fluctuation caused by the carrier frequency random hopping, the complex range-azimuth coupling effects will significantly deteriorate the target Integration performance. In this letter, echoes are classified into different bursts according to the carrier frequencies, and then keystone transform (KT) is applied to correct range walk in every burst. After compensating the range offsets among different bursts and rearranging the signal returns, the scaled transform is constructed to remove the residual coupling between the agile carrier frequency and slow-time. Finally, a moving target can be well-focused in the frequency-velocity domain. Simulated results are provided to validate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

  • Coherent Integration for uniformly moving target detection
    Electronics Letters, 2018
    Co-Authors: Penghui Huang
    Abstract:

This Letter addresses the coherent Integration Problem for air and space moving target detection in a staggered pulse repetition interval (PRI) radar system. In this algorithm, a range-compressed signal is firstly transformed into the one in the range frequency domain, and then the authors resample the non-uniformly sampled signal into a uniform grid along azimuth direction. Subsequently, the well-known Keystone transform is applied to compensate the range cell migration caused by target motion. Finally, a moving target can be well focused in the range-Doppler domain after motion compensation. Simulated results are provided to validate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

  • Detection of maneuvering target with complex motions based on ACCF and FRFT
2017 IEEE Radar Conference (RadarConf), 2017
Co-Authors: Xiaolong Li, Wei Yi, Lingjiang Kong
    Abstract:

This paper addresses the coherent Integration Problem for detecting a maneuvering target with complex motions, involving range migration (i.e., range walk and range curvature) and Doppler frequency migration (DFM) within the coherent processing interval. A new method based on adjacent cross correlation function (ACCF) and fractional Fourier transform (FRFT) is proposed, where the ACCF operation is firstly employed to remove the range migration (RM) and reduce the order of DFM. After that, the FRFT is applied to achieve the coherent accumulation. Several simulation experiments are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness.

  • Manoeuvring target detection based on keystone transform and Lv's distribution
IET Radar Sonar & Navigation, 2016
Co-Authors: Xiaolong Li, Wei Yi, Lingjiang Kong
    Abstract:

This study considers the coherent Integration Problem for detecting a manoeuvring target, involving range migration (RM) and Doppler frequency migration (DFM) within the coherent processing interval. An efficient coherent Integration method based on keystone transform (KT) and Lv's distribution (LVD) is proposed. It can not only correct the RM effect by KT and fold factor phase compensation, but also remove the DFM effect and achieve the coherent accumulation via LVD. Compared with the moving target detection, Radon-Fourier transform, and Radon-fractional Fourier transform algorithms, the proposed method can obtain better detection ability under low signal-to-noise ratio environment. Finally, several simulations are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness.

  • Coherent Integration for Maneuvering Target Detection Based on Radon-Lv’s Distribution
    IEEE Signal Processing Letters, 2015
Co-Authors: Xiaolong Li, Wei Yi, Lingjiang Kong
    Abstract:

This letter considers the coherent Integration Problem for a maneuvering target, involving range migration (RM) and Doppler frequency migration (DFM) within one coherent pulse interval. A new coherent Integration method, known as Radon-Lv's distribution (RLVD), is proposed. It can not only eliminate the RM effect via jointly searching in the target's motion parameters space, but also remove the DFM and achieve the coherent Integration via Lv's distribution (LVD). Finally, several simulations are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness. The results show that for detection ability, the proposed method is superior to the moving target detection (MTD), Radon-Fourier transform (RFT), and Radon-fractional Fourier transform (RFRFT) under low signal-to-noise-ratio (SNR) environment.

  • A dependency modeling approach for the management of ontology based Integration systems
2010 IEEE Network Operations and Management Symposium - NOMS 2010, 2010
Co-Authors: Aidan Boran, Declan O'sullivan, Vincent Wade
    Abstract:

Ontology-based information Integration systems have been proposed to solve the Problem of combining data residing at autonomous and heterogeneous sources. For such ontology based solutions to succeed in an industrial context, the ontologies and mappings need to be managed to allow them to evolve as the data sources evolve. This paper describes a dependency modeling approach to the management of mappings in the Integration system. A dependency model and tool have been prototyped within the context of a challenging logistics based industrial systems Integration Problem.

  • Pattern-Based Cloud Service Recommendation and Integration for Hybrid Cloud
2017 IEEE 7th International Symposium on Cloud and Service Computing (SC2), 2017
    Co-Authors: Joonseok Park, Keunhyuk Yeom
    Abstract:

Hybrid Cloud, which is a cloud deployment model that integrates the public cloud and private cloud, is gaining considerable attention recently. The key technology for building a Hybrid Cloud environment involves the Integration of different types of clouds. In this paper, the concept of Hybrid CSB and a method to solve the cloud Integration Problem are proposed. We present a structure for recommending a service based on a pattern according to users' requirements. In addition, we propose a method for integrating the recommended services with an Integration script and a script generation process. The recommendation and Integration method proposed in this study is expected to be used as an underlying technology to facilitate the transition to the Hybrid Cloud environment.
