Texture of Rotary-Friction-Welded from Dissimilar Medium Carbon Steels
World Journal of Condensed Matter Physics, 2020Co-Authors: Zakaria Boumerzoug, Anne-laure Helbert, Francois Brisset, Elena Priymak, Anna Stepanchukova, Thierry BaudinAbstract:The purpose of the present study was to investigate the texture in dissimilar medium carbon steels welded by rotary friction Technique. The Electron Backscatter Diffraction (EBSD) Technique was the Main Technique used to investigate the effect of welding on grain size and grain crystallographic orientation in the welded joint. Moreover, the effect of isothermal heat treatment at 600˚C on welded joint has been studied knowing that this annealing allows to decrease the residual stresses. EBSD results revealed different subzones in welded joint. The texture in the weld is essentially composed of three components: Goss {110} , Rotated Cube {100} , and Rotated Goss {110} orientation. The heat treatments applied on welded material had a slight effect on texture and grain size.

Texture analysis of welded 304L pipeline steel
Journal of Metals Materials and Minerals, 2019Co-Authors: Soumia Hamza, Zakaria Boumerzoug, Anne-laure Helbert, Francois Brisset, Thierry BaudinAbstract:This present paper studied the effect of arc welding process on the crystallographic texture of pipeline 304L steel. The Electron Backscatter Diffraction (EBSD) Technique was the Main Technique used to illustrate the effect of welding on grain orientation in the fusion zone, in the heat affected zone, and in the base metal. Moreover, the effect of isothermal heat treatment at 400 °C on welded joint has been studied. It was found the same orientation in the base metal and the heat affected zone, however different and heterogeneous structures were observed in fusion zone. The applied heat treatments at 400°C on welded material had a slight effect on crystallographic texture, but it had an effect on grain size in fusion zone. .

Dynamic reconfiguration in distributed hard real-time systems
1991Co-Authors: Dick AlsteinAbstract:The paper focuses on the problem of dynamic workload reconfiguration in distributed systems_ After the failure of a node, the processes that were allocated to that node must be redistributed among the reMaining nodes. The Main Technique considered is process redundancy. After an overview of design issues and solving Techniques, the relevant literature is discussed. Proposals are given for the methods to be used in the DEDOS project, with directions for further research.
