Journal of Anhui Agricultural University, 2009Co-Authors: Guo Zhi-quanAbstract:At present,the problem of safeguarding Migrant Workers' rights has already become the focal concern of the society.There are two main difficulties in safeguarding rights of Migrant Workers:the lack of rules for managing Migrant Workers and the Workers' own problems.The government is actively exploring a new system in managing Migrant Workers and has specifically issued a series of policies and regulations to solve the problem,as has played a good role in safeguarding Migrant Workers' rights.In spite of that,the problem of violating Migrant Workers' rights still exists.How can we reduce or even eliminate this phenomenon? This needs us to explore new management channels and actively introduce social participation in safeguarding Migrant Workers' rights,especially nongovernmental organizations' participation.Under the leading and standardization of the government,the nongovernmental organizations can play the roles of "preventer","tailer" and "extinguishant" in safeguarding Migrant Workers' rights.

Cognition on Inequality of Opportunity and Rural Migrant Workers' Subjective Well-being
Finance and Trade Research, 2014Co-Authors: Chen QianAbstract:It is commonly believed that unequal opportunity towards rural Migrant Workers accounts largely for the fact that the rural Migrant Workers benefit much less than others from fast economic growth,the main reason of which is serious inequality of opportunity. The investigation in the year of 2012 on 1025 rural Migrant Workers in Beijing indicates that there is a negative correlation between the cognition on the inequality of opportunity from rural Migrant Workers and their subjective well-being. Rural Migrant Workers cognition on the inequality of opportunity need to be improved in order to avoid them becoming a potential threat to social instability.

Soft science, 2009Co-Authors: Zhu JiaAbstract:Based on a survey of 400 Migrant Workers,this paper applies the three empirical model to analyze discrimination against Migrant Workers place of work.These results show that: discrimination against Migrant Workers are adversely affected to white-collar jobs,pay and the pay satisfaction;In addition,it also found that education and work experience plays a significant impact.In particular,the level of education of Migrant Workers have a significantly positive impact on access to white-collar jobs,pay and pay satisfaction

Studies Review on Pension Insurance for China's Rural Migrant Workers
Northwest Population Journal, 2011Co-Authors: Znagn LibAbstract:This paper first gives some reviews on concept of Migrant Workers,necessity of pension insurance for rural Migrant Workers,existing problems of pension insurance for rural Migrant Workers in reality and pension insurance model for Migrant Workers.Then the author has pointed out that current hot spots and difficulties of Migrant Workers pension insurance are model design,which shows the views in theoretical field.However,the most feasible practice is Containment-based system model,that is,bringing Migrant Workers into basic old-age insurance system for enterprise employees in urban areas,otherwise,integrated national social insurance system for Migrant Workers should be drawn up in order to ensure the Migrant worker's legitimate rights and interests;integrated national of social pension insurance for Migrant Workers should be established in order to successfully achieve the social endowment insurance of transferring for Migrant Workers.
