Study on Positioning Algorithm for Navigation Signal Based on Improved Kalman Filter
2006 International Conference on Mechatronics and Automation, 2006Co-Authors: Wei Wang, Yanling Hao, Bing XueAbstract:A positioning algorithm for Navigation Signals based on improved Kalman Filter is proposed in this paper. The receiver estimates the position and velocity via measuring the pseudo ranges and their speeds. By using Kalman Filter to estimate the errors of parameters in stead of the parameters themselves, the operation errors are reduced and the positioning accuracy is improved efficiently. During the estimations, the measurement data do not have to be stored before processed in real time. This algorithm has been used in a practical Navigation system. The simulation and practical results indicate that it has faster convergent rate and higher precision.

A Survey on Offline Signal Quality Analysis for Different Methods
International Journal of Research, 2017Co-Authors: Maan Peshavaria, Manish Kumar PatelAbstract:The performance of Navigation system depends on the quality of Navigation Signal. Additionally, if the quality of Navigation Signal gets worse than it can make the system unavailable. To achieve precise Navigation, positioning, velocity and timing, Navigation Signal quality are of vital importance. The PVT results may be affected due to some unpredictable anomalies in satellite. Signal analysis for offline received Signal includes time domain, correlation domain and frequency domain (spectrum) parameters, which includes the scatter plot, eye diagram, PN chip shape, spectrum, correlation function and correlation loss. Through monitoring and in depth analysis of the Signal quality. This paper introduces Signal quality analysis classifications and makes use of these classifications to categorized and review various methods: open loop process, close loop method and SDR for beidou.

Research on Adaptability of Satellite Navigation Signal Code Tracking Theory
Computer Simulation, 2012Co-Authors: Lu Ming-quanAbstract:The theory of code tracking with an early-late discriminator proposed by Betz is widely used in the evaluation of Navigation Signals. In this paper, the adaptability of the theory was studied based on the software of satellite Navigation Signal evaluation. For different CS/N0 environment,front-end bandwidth and correlator spacing, the root mean-squared tracking error by theoretical calculation was compared with the computer simulation results. The influence of non-ideal characteristics of filter and Delay Lock Loop(DLL) discriminator on the code tracking accuracy was discussed. The result shows that the code tracking theory for noncoherence early-late processing(NELP) can match with the simulation results only when carrier power to noise-density ration(CS/N0) is high,front-end bandwidth is wide enough and correlator spacing is narrow enough. The result can offer supports for the evaluation of Navigation Signal structure and the design of new Navigation Signal.
