Due to the Node's movement, the network topology can be changed randomly and unpredictably. Previously, Address as identifier is used for establishing a delivery route. But it is not easy that each mobile Node has a unique Address due to the lack of centralized Address protocol like DHCP. In this paper, we propose region-based dynamic Address allocation scheme that can simplify the route establishment and maintenance. Routing is done by a short distance vector algorithm based on the proactive and the flat topology routing protocol. Basic idea of our Address allocation scheme is to separate Node identity and Node Address. Node Address indicates Node's current location and is allotted by its parent Node with a cascading Address scheme. In evaluation, we examined our proposed scheme in a point of the view of the number of control packets to establish delivery trees and the connecting probability. From simulation results, we confirm that the proposed scheme offers substantially better performance.

This Addressing problem has recently attracted increased attention and a few proposals have been made, though often these schemes only work in limited scenarios. In this paper we present an autoconfiguration protocol designed to work in a mobile ad hoc network (MANET). The scheme allows joining Nodes to dynamically obtain Addresses, and has been designed to efficiently manage Addressing, and to handle such scenarios as the merging and partitioning of networks. We discuss an implementation used within an emulated environment and a real self-organising ad-hoc network.

Feature-related Node Address and Replica Distribution over Structured P2P Networks
Computer Science, 2014Co-Authors: Lan MingAbstract:In the traditional structured P2 Pnetwork,Node identifications are generated randomly or based on order.There is a lack of correlation between the features such as Node distribution,Node location,and safety.The phenomenon of " wrong correlation" cannot be dealt with effectively,and there is a risk of data corruption.A new Node Addressing method was proposed in this paper,together with its correlated replica distribution algorithm.By combining characteristic information such as location and security of Nodes into Node identification,the Nodes can be distributed according to their features.According to these features,Nodes can be avoided or approached during the replica distribution procedure.Based on this,problems such as " wrong correlation" are solved,and the distribution efficiency is improved.The Node distribution and backup Nodes selection result after improvement were given out in the emulation experiment,which shows the effectiveness of the method.
