They shared many common characteristic complications, such as severe autonomic neuropathy, proliferative retinopathy and normocytic Normochromic Anemia without progressive renal failure and macroangiopathy. They also showed normal levels of erythropoietin and reticulocyte, which was considered relatively low. The coefficient of variation of R–R, a useful method to estimate autonomic failure, showed markedly advanced autonomic neuropathy in all four patients. Coronary angiography did not reveal stenosis, anomaly or collateral vessels, but left ventriclography showed diffuse or partial hypokinesis. Massive proteinuria, high urinary levels of N -acetyl-β- d -glucosamidase (NAG) and β 2 -microglobulin (β 2 M) were detected, though creatinine clearance (Ccr) was not so deteriorated. Treatment with recombinant erythropoietin increased their hemoglobin and hematocrit levels. These common points have a possibility to be brought about by tubulointerstitial damage and microangiopathy may be involved in it.

Silangit, Riadi WirawanAbstract:A research was conducted to 69 female students from a junior high school (SLtP) Negeri I Curug, tangerang aged 12–14 years to obtain percentages of Anemia and iron deficiency in female adolescents. Anemia was found on 10.2% of the students, with 4.3% of normocytic Normochromic Anemia and 5.8% of microcytic hypochromic Anemia. Microcytic hypochromic erythrocytes was found on 21.7% of the subjects which consist of 2.9% iron deficiency Anemia, 1.4% phase 2 iron deficiency (latent) with possibility of hemoglobinopathy, and 2.9% phase 1 iron deficiency (pre-latent) with possibility of hemoglobinopathy. Anemia without iron deficiency with possibility of chronic diseases and/or hemoglobinopathy was 2.9%, and without Anemia nor iron deficiency but with possibility of hemoglobinopathy was 11.6%. Iron deficiency was found among 26.1% of subjects which consist of 11.6% pre-latent iron deficiency, 8.7% latent iron deficiency, and 5.8% iron deficiency Anemia with 2.9% and 2.9% were normocytic Normochromic Anemia and microcytic hypochromic Anemia, respectively.

Spinal cord injury in multiple myeloma

Diagnosis is based on evaluation of the following signs: Normochromic Anemia; increase of ESR, total protein and calcium levels; discovery of M-gradient in protein fractions of gamma-zone; multiple regions of destruction in spondylogramme. In doubtful cases magneto-resonance and computer tomography were the most informative. Highly effective was therapy with intensive chemoprogramme including either a range of preparations (alkeran, BGNU, cyclophosphan, adriblastina, prednisolon) or a combination of polychemotherapy with irradiation. The operation was indicated in both insufficiency of conservative therapy and increasing of the symptoms of the damage.

The research of red blood cell and platelets parameters in chronic renal failure

Methods The 60 cases of CRF and 60 healthy controls were detected by SF-3000 blood counter system. Results ①The RBC,HB,HCT of the CRF patients were significantly lower than control groups(P0.01), the MCV, MCH, MCHC were not obvious different. The platelet parameters were all significantly low. Conclusions ①The patients with CRF have normocytic Normochromic Anemia. ②The determination of the platelet parameters can provides a easy, rapid, and reliable way for primary assessment to the CRFs patients platelet function.
