    Abstract:

    Peyronies Disease (PD) is estimated to affect approximately 3–9% of men worldwide and maybe associated with pain, erectile dysfunction and penile deformity including shortening. The condition has significant debilitating effects on quality of life, self-esteem and psychological wellbeing in addition to sexual function. Surgical results add further to this by patients having dissatisfaction with various aspects of outcomes. Non-surgical management may allow patients to avoid the morbidities associated with surgery and still achieve improved functional and aesthetic outcomes. Several non-surgical options are currently being employed in the treatment of PD that may reduce or stabilize both objective measures (e.g. penile length and deformity) and subjective measures (including sexual function, pain and partner satisfaction). Nonsurgical management can allow patients to avoid the morbidities associated with surgery and still achieve improved functional and aesthetic outcomes. In this article we explore the current non-surgical management options for PD including oral, mechanical therapies, intralesional and topical treatments. We also briefly discuss future treatment options in the form of stem cell therapy

    Superficial thrombophlebitis of the dorsal vein of the penis (penile Mondor’s Disease) is an important clinical diagnosis that every family practitioner should be able to recognize. Dorsal vein thrombosis is a rare Disease with pain and induration of the dorsal part of the penis. The possible causes comprise traumatism, neoplasms, excessive sexual activity, or abstinence. The differential diagnosis must be established with Sclerotizing lymphangitis and Peyronies Disease and doppler ultrasound is the imaging diagnostic technique of choice. Proper diagnosis and consequent reassurance can help to dissipate the anxiety typically experienced by the patients with this Disease. We describe the symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment of the superficial thrombophlebitis of the dorsal vein of the penis

    Penile Mondor's Disease (Superficial thrombophlebitis of the dorsal vein of the penis) is a rare and important Disease that every clinician should be able to diagnose, which present with pain and in duration of the dorsal part of the penis. The various possible causes are trauma, excessive sexual activity neoplasms,, or abstinence. Diagnosis is mainly based on history and physical examination. Though diagnosis is mainly based on history and physical examination, Doppler ultrasound is considered as the imaging modality of choice. Sclerotizing lymphangitis and Peyronies Disease must be considered in differential diagnosis. Accurate diagnosis and Propercounseling can help to relieve the anxiety experienced by the patients regarding this benign Disease. We are describing the symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment of the superficial thrombophlebitis of the dorsal vein of the penis.
