    Abstract:

    Abstract Measurements of the drop size distributions were obtained for air and water flowing in an annular pattern in a 2.54 cm horizontal Pipe. A laser diffraction technique was used. The data were obtained at the centerline. These are compared with measurements obtained previously for annular flow of air and water in a horizontal 9.53 cm Pipe in the same flow loop and with the same instrumentation. The volume median drop Diameter for these two flows was found to increase with Pipe Diameter and to vary with D0.5 for superficial gas velocities larger than 30 m/s.

    Abstract:

    Measurements of entrainment and of droplet distributions are presented for air and water flowing in a horizontal 0.095 m Pipe. A stratification of drops is observed because of the influence of gravity. Entrainment does not depend on Pipe Diameter and it increases strongly with increasing gas velocity. At small gas velocities, it is lower in horizontal Pipes than in vertical Pipes because gravitational settling enhances deposition.

The obyektive of the research is to know the factors effect  on electric current to the water punp and to kwow the optimal factor level on a.Pipe Diameter, b.the position of base valve, c.pressure tank volume and d.in-let filter angle so the ses the taguchi method with Pipe Diameter the position of base valve, pressure tank volume and in-let filter angle as free variable and electrics current as fied variable. The result of the experiment with taguchi method shows that the optimal condition reached the combination of Pipe Diameter level of 1 inch, the position of base valve 1 meter pressure tank volume of 2 litre and in-let filter angle of 45 degrees.     Abstract:

    The shock tube experimental results have shown clearly that the decompression wave was slowed down in a Pipe with a rough inner surface relative to that in a smooth Pipe under comparable conditions. In the present paper a one-dimensional dynamic simulation model, named EPDECOM, was developed to investigate the effects of Pipe wall roughness and Pipe Diameter on the decompression wave speed. Comparison with experimental results showed that the inclusion of frictional effects led to a better prediction than that of the widely used model implemented in GASDECOM. EPDECOM simulation results showed that the effect of roughness on the decompression wave speed is significant for Pipe Diameters less than 250 mm. However the decompression wave speed is nearly independent of the roughness for Diameters above 250 mm as the frictional effect becomes negligible at such Diameters.Copyright © 2012 by ASME
