ThorntonAbstract:A program is described for automatically generating schematic linear representations of protein chains in terms of their structural domains. The program requires the coordinates of the chain, the domain assignment, PROSITE information and a File listing all intermolecular interactions in the protein structure. The output is a Postscript File in which each protein is represented by a set of linked boxes, each box corresponding to all or part of a structural domain. PROSITE motifs and residues involved in ligand interactions are highlighted. The diagrams allow immediate visualization of the domain arrangement within a protein chain, and by providing information on sequence motifs, and metal ion, ligand and DNA binding at the domain level, the program facilitates detection of remote evolutionary relationships between proteins.

ThorntonAbstract:The LIGPLOT program automatically generates schematic 2-D representations of protein-ligand complexes from standard Protein Data Bank File input. The output is a colour, or black-and-white, Postscript File giving a simple and informative representation of the intermolecular interactions and their strengths, including hydrogen bonds, hydrophobic interactions and atom accessibilities. The program is completely general for any ligand and can also be used to show other types of interaction in proteins and nucleic acids. It was designed to facilitate the rapid inspection of many enzyme complexes, but has found many other applications.

It can be used to run tests locally, in a single computer, or in a computer grid. It automatically generates a report as a Postscript File which, among others, includes graphs for time comparison. We have found GridTest extremely useful for testing and comparing the performance of different automated theorem provers (for hybrid, modal, first order and description logics). We present GridTest in this framework description in the hope that it might be useful for the general community working in automated deduction. 1 Testing Automated Provers Testing a system is an invaluable source of information about its behaviour. Na počítači se z tohoto Postscriptového souboru získají data, která se přepočítají na parametry jednotlivých obrazců. Komunikace mezi po čítačem a PLC je zajištěna přes OPC server od firmy Rockwell Automation.
