    Abstract:

    The Transmission capability of HVDC Power Transmission system is principally restricted by the strength of AC Power system to which the HVDC system is connected.There are much research results on both Transmission capability and Power stability of single HVDC Power Transmission system,however along with the appearance of multi-infeed HVDC Power Transmission systems the complex interaction among HVDC lines makes the Power stability of multi-infeed HVDC Power Transmission system more complicated.Based on two-infeed HVDC Power Transmission system,the influences of the variation of operation condition of multi-infeed HVDC Power Transmission lines,the coupling degree between HVDC lines and the value of multi-infeed short circuit ratio on Power stability of multi-infeed HVDC Power Transmission system are researched.Analysis results show that for multi-infeed HVDC Power Transmission system the Power stability margin of multi-infeed HVDC Power Transmission system as well as the Transmission capability and maximum DC Power can be effectively improved by reducing the current of HVDC system to which the multi-infeed HVDC Power system is connected,reducing the electrical distance between HVDC systems and increasing multi-infeed short circuit ratio of the connected HVDC system.

    Abstract:

    Present condition of energy resources in China is analyzed and the prospect of applying UHV half-wavelength AC Power Transmission in China is discussed.By means of calculating annual cost of unit capacity,the economy of UHV half-wavelength AC Power Transmission is compared with that of UHVDC Power Transmission,and the results show that the UHV half-wavelength AC Power Transmission is more economical than the ?800 and ?1 000 kV UHVAC Power Transmission.The social benefit of the UHV half-wavelength AC Power Transmission is analyzed,the upper-limit of control cost for UHV half-wavelength AC Power Transmission is given,and the sensitivity analysis on wiring mode of Power plant and Transmission capacity is performed.

    Abstract:

    One of outstanding advantages of ultra-high voltage half-wavelength AC Transmission(UHV HWACT) technique is that the intermediate switching station does not need to built under long Transmission distance.However,its operation voltage along Transmission line,Power frequency overvoltage and characteristic of switching surge as well as the measures to suppress overvoltage are evidently different from those of traditional UHV Power Transmission,thus it is necessary to research steady state voltage along the line,Power frequency overvoltage,switching surge and insulation coordination of UHV HWACT.The researches on its insulation coordination include following items: to determine insulation level of Power equipments in substations and the distances of air gaps,to determine insulation configuration for Transmission line and related distances of air gaps to offer reference for equipment manufacture and engineering design.Comparing the insulation coordination scheme for UHV HWACT with the insulation design for 1 000 kV AC Power Transmission pilot project from Southeast Shanxi via Jingmen to Nanyang,comparison results show that the equipments and insulation configuration for 1 000 kV AC Power Transmission pilot project can be directly applied to UHV HWACT.

    Abstract:

    The general development situation of UHV AC Power Transmission abroad and its applicable scope are introduced. The authors point out that to meet the requirement of the fast development of electric Power industry in China, the UHV AC Power Transmission should be built to transmit the electric energy generated by the large scale hydroelectric Power stations and thermal Power plants that will be built in West China to East China as well as to transmit the electric energy generated by the large scale thermal Power plants and nuclear Power plants which will be built in Central and East China to load center region; in addition, the construction of UHV AC Power Transmission will promote the mend of structure of Power grids, enhance nation-wide interconnection, improve the Power Transmission technology and the manufacturing level of Power Transmission equipments, elevate the security and stability level of Power grid operation. Therefore it is suggested to strengthen the research and development of UHV AC Power Transmission and the trial-manufacture of related equipments, construct an experimental UHV Transmission line as soon as possible, and research and draw up the development plan of nation-wide 1000kV Power network.

    Abstract:

    Based on a large amount of research results home and abroad, the methods to research voltage stability in HVAC/HVDC Power Transmission system are reduced to static voltage stability analysis and dynamic voltage stability analysis, and the existing research methods are classified as well as the advantages and shortcomings of each method are analyzed.Especially, the problems to be solved in the research on voltage stability of multi-infeed HVAC/HVDC Power Transmission system and the future research direction in this field are discussed.It should be the subjects investigated in future to propose the index of short-circuit ratio suitable to multi-infeed HVAC/HVDC Power Transmission system and to build a dynamic Power grid model suitable to large disturbance analysis.
