Water systems can include cooling water, boiler water, and emergency water. Cooling water flows through a closed piping system that circulates water through various pieces of equipment. Exchangers and condensers require chilled water to reduce the temperature of the Process Commodity. As water circulates through the shell of an exchanger, heat is transferred from the Process Commodity to the cooling water. Boiler water is the piping system that delivers feed water to all pieces of steam-generating equipment in a facility. Steam is generated by boilers, heaters, and even nuclear reactors, and is used in a wide variety of piping facilities. Designed specifically for worker safety, emergency water systems include eye wash and emergency shower stations. Emergency shower stations are provided in all areas where maintenance and operational personnel are subject to hazardous leaks or spills. Eye wash stations are also provided for situations where physical injury may be caused by chemical sprays or hazardous fumes.

Probabilistic Evaluation of a Business Process Performance

A business Process (e.g., order fulfillment Process, Commodity distribution Process, etc.) comprises a network of value-added activities, performed by their relevant roles, to achieve the common business goal. A variety of methods are used to manage or improve Process. Besides these advances, this paper proposes an innovative evaluation method of business Process performance in terms of a simple Bayesian indicator. A numerical example is used to explain the proposed method.

The desirable performance characteristics of these mechanisms including freedom from backlash, long life, light weight, and ease of fabrication/assembly make them an ideal solution to the problem of inexpensive precision positioning for microassembly. This paper presents a design for a 2 axis precision positioning system which makes use of large displacement compliant mechanisms, a room temperature and pressure molding fabrication Process, Commodity hardware, and a piecewise linear interpolation compensation scheme to achieve positioning performance suitable for automated assembly of sub-centimeter robotic and mechatronic devices
