    Abstract:

    Based on the process of involute gear shaping,with the involute tooth Profile replaced by any other tooth Profile Curve,different tooth Profiles are enveloped.According to the coordinates transforming and tooth Profile conjugating principle,it educed the tooth Profile equations of the manufactured gear revealed by arc-lengths and simulated the produced tooth Profile.Due to the simulation results,it can give the feasibility of the gear shaping cutter preparatory estimation and avoid the waste caused by the actual cutting.

    Abstract:

    Cross rolls must be in line in contact with steel tube or bar in straightening process,thus a new algorithm for roll Profile Curve of straightener with cross rolls,based on joggling principle,has been developed.The deducing result is that ideal roll Profile Curve is hyperbola.Comparing the new algorithm with the traditional envelope algorithm,the computing precision grade of both algorithm is basically the same,but the new algorithm is more brief and accurate and cross rolls computing with the new algorithm had done well in practice.

  • Estimation of thermal diffusivity using subsurface temperature Profile Curve fitting algorithm

    Abstract:

    Based on the theory of heat transfer and thermal diffusion in subsurface soil,a mathematical equation was derived for describing the temperature fluctuation in a semi-infinite homogeneous soil,this equation can be used to fit the temperature Profile Curves of drill hole to estimate the gross thermal diffusivity of subsurface soil and ground temperature parameters,such as the mean surface temperature,the annual temperature amplitude at the surface,the day of minimum surface temperature.Results of two examples show that the theoretical model fits the measured temperature Profile Curve very well,and the diffusivity values of subsurface soil obtained by the new method are rather close to that from references,indicating that the algorithm is feasible.The algorithm can be widely applied in practical work since it is simple,convenient and effective,and based on the reliable theory and clear physical mechanism.

  • Parametric Design and Motion Simulation of Disc Cam Profile Curve Based on the UG NX

    Abstract:

    This paper presents a parametric design method of the cam Profile Curve with UG NX, created the cam Curves with law of the Curve command, conducted Curve continuity analysis with Curve Continuity Analysis command, and the results show that all adjacent Curves are tangent continuous. This ensures the design accuracy. The velocity Curve and the displacement Curve were got through the cam motion simulation, and the motion analysis is consistent with the results of theoretical design. Expressions were changed, and the motion analysis show that the parametric design of the cam contour is reasonable.

    Abstract:

    Because of freight train, in China, transports goods on railway freight line throughout the country, it does not depart from or return to engine shed during a long phase, thus we cannot monitor the quality of wheel set effectively. This paper provides a system which uses leaser and high speed camera, applies no-contact light section technology to get precise wheel set Profile parameters. The paper employs clamping-track method to avoid complex railway ballast modification project. And detailed descript an improved image-tracking algorithm to extract central line from Profile Curve. For getting one pixel width and continuous line of the Profile Curve, uses local gray maximum points as direction control points to direct tracking direction. The results based on practical experiment show the system adapted to detection environment of high speed and high vibration, and it can effectively detect the wheelset geometric parameters with high accuracy. The system fills the gaps in wheel set detection for freight train in main line and has an enlightening function on monitoring the quality of wheel set.
