  • ready mode Receive an optimized Receive Function for mpi
European PVM MPI Users Group Meeting on Recent Advances in Parallel Virtual Machine and Message Passing Interface, 2002
    Co-Authors: Ron Brightwell
    Abstract:

This paper describes an extension to the MPI Standard that offers the potential to increase performance for receiving messages. This extension, the ready-mode Receive, is the Receive-side equivalent of the ready-mode send. This paper describes the semantics of this new Receive Function and discusses the potential for performance improvement that it offers. In particular, we discuss how the current trend toward using intelligent network interfaces may increase the potential for significant performance improvement.

  • the auto tracking communication link using planar active rectrodirective array
Journal of information and communication convergence engineering, 2007
    Co-Authors: Girae Kim
    Abstract:

In this paper, a planar active retrodirective four-element array with subharmonic phase conjugation mixers based on anti-parallel diode pairs (APDPs) is designed, and its application in the auto-tracking duplex communication link is presented. As compared to previous phase conjugation mixers using twice RF frequency for LO frequency, the proposed conjugation mixers need only half RF frequency so that it can be easily applied for millimeter-wave applications. The proposed architecture, which conventionally performs the Function of the transmission of an incident signal back in the direction of its source, is modified in order to include a Receive Function. Experimental verification of these architectures is performed at 1GHz and the results from the prototypes are compared with a theoretical model.

  • anxious solitary children at recess naturalistic observation of sequential peer exclusion victimization and acceptance processes
    2009
    Co-Authors: Madelynn Jade Druhen
    Abstract:

This investigation assessed the processes by which anxious solitary children (i.e., those who are shy and play alone at elevated rates) were excluded, victimized, and accepted by their familiar peers. Peer sociometric nominations were conducted with 688 third grade children of diverse socioeconomic and racial/ethnic backgrounds. A subset of 163 of these children, approximately half of whom were identified as anxious solitary by their peers, was observed at free play during recess with familiar peers for a total of 25 minutes each. These observations were analyzed sequentially to establish child behavior that coincided with, preceded, and followed peer exclusion, victimization, and acceptance. Anxious solitary children compared to control children exhibited behavior at different frequencies and durations, Received different responses from peers to the same behavior, and responded differently to the same type of peer treatment. Thus, the anxious solitary children's behavior and the peer responses they Receive Function under different contingencies than those of their non-anxious solitary peers.

  • airship radar conformal thinned array antenna and its signal processing method
    2014
Co-Authors: Li Daojing, Li Liechen, Teng Xiumin
    Abstract:

The invention discloses an airship radar conformal thinned array antenna and its signal processing method. The conformal thinned array antenna comprises a plurality of sparsely-distributed subarrays on a ship body. The subarrays adopt active phase control subarrays, and a rigid structure is adopted to guarantee subarray face control precision. A receiving/transmitting assembly of the subarrays is a stereoscopic integrated tile structure with radiation array elements. Each subarray transmits and Receives frequency division or code division orthogonal signals so as to realize a full-array transmit-Receive Function. Observation scope of the conformal thinned array antenna is determined by subarray antenna beamwidth. High spatial resolution is realized by full-array antenna. The airship radar with the conformal thinned array antenna is used for high-resolution ground imaging and moving object detection.
