strongly typed genetic programming and purity analysis input domain reduction for evolutionary testing problems
Genetic and Evolutionary Computation Conference, 2008Co-Authors: Jose Carlos Bregieiro Ribeiro, Mario Zenharela, Francisco Fernandez De VegaAbstract:Search-based test case generation for object-oriented software is hindered by the size of the search space, which encompasses the arguments to the implicit and explicit parameters of the test object's public methods. The performance of this type of search problems can be enhanced by the definition of adequate Input Domain Reduction strategies. The focus of our on-going work is on employing evolutionary algorithms for generating test data for the structural unit-testing of Java programs. Test cases are represented and evolved using the Strongly-Typed Genetic Programming paradigm; Purity Analysis is particularly useful in this situation because it provides a means to automatically identify and Remove Function Set entries that do not contribute to the definition of interesting test scenarios.

Modeling and Analysis of Surface Topography in Elliptical Vibration Cutting
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014Co-Authors: Jie Qiong Lin, Xian Jing, Dan JingAbstract:According to the surface formation mechanism of elliptical vibration cutting (EVC), EVC process and three dimensional cutting surfaces are analyzed in this paper. The model of EVC surface topography is established based on curved surface Remove Function under the assumption that the tool edge is sharp enough. Simulation analysis of surface topography is conducted to verify the established model. The present research clarifies the law that cutting parameters influent on EVC surface topography. Whats more, it provides some references for optimizing the selection of EVC cutting parameters and further improving EVC surface quality.

Study on Feed Offset in Elliptical Vibration Cutting
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014Co-Authors: Jie Qiong Lin, Dan Jing, Jin Guo Han, Xian JingAbstract:Elliptical vibration cutting (EVC) process and three dimensional cutting surfaces are analyzed in this paper to understand the formation of surface topography. The model of EVC surface topography is established based on curved surface Remove Function under the assumption that the tool edge is sharp enough. And simulation analysis of surface topography is conducted with different feed offset ratios. Results indicate that RMS change with feed offset ratios λ. The range of RMS is larger when feed offset ratio ranges from both 0 to 0.4 and 0.6 to 1, while the range is smaller when feed offset ratio changes from 0.4 to 0.6. Whats more, RMS reaches the minimum when feed offset ratio is 0.5. The present research provides some references for reducing the height of vibration ripples and improving EVC surface quality.

The Realization of Remove Function System in Nuclear-Power Equipment Simulator
Nuclear Power Engineering, 2002Co-Authors: Zhang Zhi-jiangAbstract:Using micro-computer to simulate the dynamic real-time display of instruments and control of switches in the Remove Function system in nuclear-power equipment simulator, a great deal of peripheral equipments can be saved, and the performance of the system can be largely extended. The methods, i.e. the way to realize the two-direction communication between server and client machine, and to realize the dynamic display of soft-dial plates and correlative treatment of graphics in Remove Function system, were introduced in this paper. The methods are verified to be correct and practical by testing.
