  • Non-blocking Patricia tries with Replace Operations
    Distributed Computing, 2019
    Co-Authors: Niloufar Shafiei
    Abstract:

This paper presents a non-blocking Patricia trie implementation for an asynchronous shared-memory system using Compare&Swap. The trie is a linearizable implementation of a set and supports three update Operations: insert adds an element to the trie, delete removes an element from the trie and Replace Replaces one element by another. The Replace Operation is interesting because it changes two different locations of a trie. We design a mechanism that allows the two changes of a Replace Operation to appear to be executed atomically. If all update Operations modify different parts of the trie, they run completely concurrently. The implementation also supports a wait-free find Operation, which only reads shared memory and never changes the data structure. Our implementation and its correctness proof are modular and can be adapted for other data structures. Empirically, we compare our algorithms to some existing tree-based set implementations and our results show that our trie performs consistently well in different scenarios.

  • Clinical Report of 1000 Cases of Valve Replace Operation
Journal of Kunming Medical University, 2010
    Co-Authors: Zhao Bin
    Abstract:

Objective To report the result and experience of 1000 cases of valve Replace Operations in the department of cardiovascular surgery of our hospital dulring the past five years,so as to improve the curative effect.Method We analyzed 1000 cases of valve Replacement Operation under cardiopulmona-ry bypass in our hospital from January 2005 to January 2009.Among them, there were 562 cases of pure mitral valve Replacement,230 cases of aortic valve Replacement,202 cases of combined valve Replacement, and 6 cases of tricuspid valve Replacement.500 cases of them were followed up for five years.Result Forty-six patients died after surgery, the heart function of survivals was improved obviously. Conclusions Selecting the true opportunity of Operation, improving and perfecting the techque of cardiopulmonary bypass, intensifying the myocardial preservation, improving surgical techniques, reinforcing the guardianship after Operations, dealing with the complication in time are important measures to impove the Operation effect. To improve the survival rate of valve Replace patients,we should enhance the health propaganda and education, follow up,and adjust the dose of anticoagulants.

  • Relationship between BNP and recurrence of atrial fibrillation after valve Replace Operation combined with radiofrequency modified maze procedure.
    Progress in Modern Biomedicine, 2010
    Co-Authors: Yang Min, Yuan Zhong-xiang
    Abstract:

Objective:To study the relationship between brain natriuretic peptide(BNP)and recurrence of atrial fibrillation after valve Replace Operation combined with radiofrequency modified Maze procedure.Methods:60 patients with atrial fibrillation underwent valve Replace Operation combined with radiofrequency modified Maze procedure, patients were allocated to either atrial fibrillation recur-rence group(AF group)or atrial fibrillation not recurrence group(SR group)according to whether patient's atrial fibrillation recurrence in 6 months after surgery. No significant difference was detected in sex, cardiopulmonary time, blocking time and ejection fraction and so no between both groups(P0.05).BNP were respectively measured in patients of both groups in seven days before and after surgery to analysis of the relationship between BNP levels and recurrence of atrial fibrillation. Results:A total of 60 patients were involved in the final analysis.BNP levels in the AF group were significantly higher than those in the SR group after surgery(P0.05).Conclusion:BNP has a clinical value in predicting of recurrent atrial fibrillation after valve Replace Operation combined with radiofrequency modified Maze procedure, which can providebe theory basis for making reasonable treatment and clinical intervention.

  • Operative results after valve Replace Operation combined with saline-irrigated radiofrequency modified Maze procedure
    Journal of clinical surgery, 2008
    Co-Authors: Zhu Tuan-ji
    Abstract:

Objective To observe the operative results after valve Replace Operation combined with saline-irrigated radiofrequency modified Maze procedure. Methods Thirty-one patients underwent valve Replace Operation combined with saline-irrigated radiofrequency modified Maze procedure during March 2003 to June 2005.Drainage amount after surgery, amount of blood transfusion, changes of EKG and left atrium size were observed perioperatively. Results In the patients of this group, operating time was not significantly prolonged as compared with those undergoing valve Replace Operation. All patients were followed up for 6-21 months(mean 15.6±3.7 months).Temporatory pacemaker was needed in 13 cases(41.9%),but spontaneously cardiac rhythm recovered by the twelfth day after surgery.Sinus rhythm recovered in 14 cases(45.2%)1 month after surgery, and sinus rhythm was seen in 20 cases one year after surgery. Conclusion Valve Replace Operation combined with saline-irrigated radiofrequency modified Maze procedure is a safe and efficient method to patients with valvular disease of the heart and atrial fibrillation.
