A new dynamic substructure modification method for structure-acoustic coupling analysis of an automobile's passenger compartment
Noise and Vibration Control, 2002Co-Authors: Ding WeiAbstract:A new dynamic modification method for noise depressing in an automobile body is put forward based on the finite element analysis on the structure acoustic coupling of the passenger compartment,which regards the local modification of the body wallboard as appending an equivalent substructure on it,and givens an explicit formula about the quantitative relationship between the variety of the interior sound pressure and the modification of the automobile body structure.In order to validate the correctness of the method given here,an example for the passenger compartment of Saloon Car type SH760A is solved.The calculated result compares well with that obtained experimentally.

A finite element model for structure acoustic coupling analysis of the acoustic leakage problem in an automobile passenger compartment
Noise and Vibration Control, 2002Co-Authors: Ding WeiAbstract:A new"acoustic leakage boundary condition"is put forward,and an improving finite element model,which can deal with the acoustic leakage problem of the actual passenger compartments,is given by means of introducing this kind of boundary condition.Then an example for the passenger compartment of Saloon Car type SH760A is solved.And the correctness of the method given here is validated by contrast analysis between the calculated results and those obtained experimentally.

Study on the low noise optimization design for an automobile body structure

Then the design calculation of low noise optimization for the passenger compartment of a homemade Saloon Car is put in practice, and the corresponding noise - depressing treatment is guided with the calculated results. The effect of the noise - depressing treatment in the passenger compartment is evident, which valiate the correctness and effectiveness of the optimization design model devel-oped at the same time.

Fractured tracheostomy tube – A case report of a 3-year old Ghanaian child

Case history: Child was involved in a rollover road traffic collision as an unrestrained passenger in a Saloon Car. Her injuries required mechanical ventilation and subsequently a tracheostomy. A week after the tracheostomy, a diagnosis of a fractured tracheostomy tube was made. Discussion: Fracture of a tracheostomy tube is a rare complication, which should be considered as part of the differential diagnosis in a ventilated patient with a tracheostomy. Wound exploration through the tracheal stoma is an alternative technique that can be adopted in a restricted resource setting.
