    Hydrogen is used as the cooling medium in large capacity generator.The special Seal apparatus are equipped at the end of generator to prevent hydrogen leak,meanwhile a set of Seal Oil System is provided.The fundamental function of Seal Oil System is to supply pressure-Oil to Seal ring for lubrication and Seal,the other function is regulation of Oil temperature,filtration,degasification and dehydration or isolation to gas and water in Oil.In order to implement these functions,some important operating parameters such as different pressure between Oil and hydrogen,vacuum in Oil tank,Oil temperature should be maintained carefully.

    In the Seal Oil System of steam turbine No.2 in Hunan Huadian Changsha Power Generation Corporation Limited, the hydrogen purity was less than the standard, the vacuum of the Seal Oil vacuous tank was below the standard, and there were many bubbles in the Oil of the Seal Oil vacuous tank. Aiming at the problems listed above, the abnormal situation occurred in the Seal Oil System of the unit No.2 was analyzed, and relevant treatment measures were adopted.

    This paper analyzes typical faults of Seal Oil System of 1 000 MW steam turbine generator in commissioning process such as Oil-water leak detector being unable to warn,abnormal Oil level adjustment of the floater Oil tank,inner Oil-taking of the generator,frequent united startup of the standby pump of Seal Oil System and wrong installation position of the hydrogen leakage detector.It proposes related inform and adjustment measures which mean to prevent accidents of Oil-taking and hydrogen leakage of the generator and improve safe and economic operation of the unit.

    Abstract:

    Based on the structural features of the hydrogen-cooled generator set with single-ring Seal Oil System and the cumulative experiences of commissioning,and trial operation process of Seal Oil System for a new power plant,the key commissioning technical essentials of the System are summarized in this paper and the reasons for the main anomalies generated of the System during start-up commissioning process are analyzed.Furthermore,the prevention and treatment measures for these anomalies are put forward,which could reduce the anomalies occurrence such as Oil-entering into the generator,hydrogen quality dropping or large hydrogen complement.And the study could provide guidance to some extent for the commissioning and operation of the same type of Seal Oil System of the generator sets.
