    Abstract:

    The invention discloses a method for solving the communication deadlock of an I2C (Inter-Integrated Circuit) bus. The I2C bus comprises a serial data line (SDA) and a serial clock line (SCL); the I2C bus is provided with a host and at least one slave; the method for solving the communication deadlock of the I2C bus comprises a host-based implementation method, wherein the implementation method comprises the following steps of: (A) monitoring a working state of the I2C bus, wherein the I2C bus is in a deadlock state if the host cannot send detection information to the slave of the I2C bus; (B) when the I2C bus is in the deadlock state, resetting a host module, and controlling the SCL to generate a clock pulse signal so as to unlock the slave of the I2C in the deadlock state; and (C) after unlocking the slave, reinitializing the host module to enable the normal work of the communication of the I2C bus again. According to the method for solving the communication deadlock of the I2C bus provided by the invention, no additional circuits are added, no additional cost is increased, the method for solving the communication deadlock of the I2C bus is applicable to any slave, the problem of deadlock can be rapidly and accurately solved, and no adverse effect can be brought for the normal operation of equipment.

    The invention discloses an I2C (inter-integrated circuit) equipment management method. The method comprises the following steps of: distributing a sole equipment ID (identity) to I2C equipment of a host machine in a CPLD (complex programmable logic device) and configuring the corresponding relation between an SCL (serial clock line) group and an SDA (serial data line) analog switch group, where the equipment ID and the I2C equipment are located respectively; configuring the corresponding relation between every SCL group and a value of an SCL gate control register, and configuring the corresponding relation between every SDA analog switch group and the value of an SDA gate control register; and using the CPLD to receive the ID which is sent by an I2C controller and needs to access the I2C equipment through any bus and look up the SCL group and the SDA analog switch group, which correspond to the equipment ID, and gating an corresponding SCL and an SDA analog switch according to the configured corresponding relation. The invention further discloses the CPLD. According to the I2C equipment management method disclosed by invention, the multiple I2C equipment on one host machine equipment can be effectively managed.

    Abstract:

    A communication system and method enabling bi-directional I2C communications is disclosed. In the communication system having a master and at least one slave that communicate with each other through an I2C bus comprising a serial clock line (SCL) and a serial Data line (SDA), the master and slave are directly connected on an interrupt line, and, if the slave sends to the master an interrupt requesting communications, the master performs communications with the slave through the SCL and the SDA. Therefore, the communication system and method enables slaves to generate an interrupt to request communications to the master, so bi-directional communications between microprocessors can be achieved in a simple hardware implementation.
