    Abstract:

    Web Service adaptation is an important research focus in the field of Service-oriented computing.Aiming at problems of Service Behavior formalization and adaptation in cyclic Service Behavior,data flow modeling and state space explosion,we proposed a new approach for Service Behavior formalization and adaptation.The whole process of how to formalize Service Behavior based on regular flow nets,how to construct symbolic coverability tree of Service Behavior,how to build data dependence and actions dependence relationships,how to generate symbolic execution trace adapters,till accomplishing Service Behavior adaptation was illustrated through examples in the paper.

  • Behavior adaptation based on projection in web Services composition

    Abstract:

    Decentralized Behavioral adaptation of Web Service composition is proposed. Firstly, Web Services Behavioral was simulated by Labeled Transition System (LTS) and was projected to different connectors thus Web Service Behavior is orthogonalized, and then system compatibility was judged by checking if there was deadlock in synchronous product of different pairs of Behavioral projections over connectors. Secondly, for the mismatch types adaptation countermeasures were analyzed then the mapping relationship of actions was expressed as synchronous vectors and the sequential relationship of vectors was defined as adaptation contract. Lastly, adaptation algorithm was designed to generate adaptation protocol automatically ensuring the mismatch Web Services can correct interaction under the mediation of adaptor and the validity of the proposed method was verified by an application system.

  • Research on Web Service Interface Extending and Composition Compatibility Checking Based on pi Calculus

    Abstract:

    Service interface description is one of the most important problems in Services-oriented software architecture, and formal description methods are considered to be a promising approach for Service interface. Presently the typical Web Service description language (WSDL) only provided the syntax level information that needed by the Service interaction without containing the dynamic Behavioral protocol information. So it can not guarantee the correct interaction and usage of the Service in the open environment. The paper first defined the signature view and the Behavior view of the Service then designed the modeling method that transfer the Web Service Behavior into pi calculus process expression and proposed the algorithm that makes the Service view transfer into pi calculus process automatically. At last with the help of operational and transitional semantics and formal deduction we can check whether two Services are Behavior compatible when their composition.

    Service interface description is one of the most important problems in Services-oriented software architecture, and formal description methods are considered to be a promising approach for Service interface. So it can not guarantee the correct interaction and usage of the Service in the open environment.   • Variability model and management for web Service: A petri net based approach

    Abstract:

    Variability management is an efficient solution to support Service's reuse, but most of the existing variability models pay attention to Service's functions and care little about the Service's Behavior that how these functions are invoked. In this paper, we provide a variability model based on Petri net that both the variable functions and the invocation constraint of these functions are handled. We use general Service to refer the Service developed with variability for reuse; by variability binding Service instance will be generated for use. Variable functions are modeled by transitions of Petri net; the Service Behavior is shown by the firing of transitions.

  • Enhancing Service-oriented Software Development Supporting Service Behavior and Quality

    Abstract:

    The Service-oriented software development reduces the time and complexity of application development. However, in current Service-oriented architecture, the Service registration and discovery only focus on the interface and static properties of the Service, but neglects the Behavior and quality of the Service. The ignorance of Service Behavior will result in some runtime errors and the ignorance of QoS will lead to the inefficiency of the application. This paper proposes an extension to Service-oriented software development process, explores the consistency of Service Behavior and the match of QoS. In OSGi, a Service-oriented component model, we adopt the technology of dynamic AOP and design a middleware to support the Behavior and quality of Service. In order to select the most suitable Service implementation and to improve the efficiency of the application, the middleware assures the invocable and observable consistency, checks runtime Service Behavior and collects the QoS information.

    A unified framework based on Petri-net for the modeling of Service Behavior and QoS is proposed. Based on this framework a set of Service consistency rules are derived to improve the accuracy of Service discovery and to ensure the system consistency in Service substitution. A middleware named SOBECA (Service-oriented, Behavior and capability support architecture) compatible with current Web Services standards is developed to make a proof of concept of the framework.     Abstract:

    Open Service gateway initiative (OSGi), a Service-oriented component model which follows the concepts of Service-oriented programming, significantly reduces the time and complexity to construct applications by registering and discovering Services. However, this mechanism focusing on the interfaces and static properties of related Services, ignores the Behavior of the Services, let alone the runtime errors caused by Behavior inconsistency. In addition to the related theory of Service Behavior model and Behavior consistency relation of single Services in Service discovery and substitution, this article defines coordination protocol, composite Service and Behavior consistent Service coordination to handle the applications built on multiple Services. On the top of OSGi, we propose a feasible middleware architecture called SOBECA, which includes a runtime environment and a development toolkit to facilitate the development of Service Behavior consistent applications.

    Abstract:

    Behavior adaptation of Web Service uses an adaptor to coordinate the interaction of Web Services and solves Behavior mismatch. An automatic and safe approach of Web Service Behavior adaptation is proposed. Firstly, the model and framework of Web Service Behavior adaptation is given. Then, the formal specification of Service Behavior and the definition of adaptor are given. The safety of Service Behavior adaptation is verified. The checking approach of Behavior mismatch and the calculating approach of adaptor Behavior are specified formally. At last, a case is studied to verify the validity of the approach proposed in this paper.

    The explosive growth in the use of social media has evoked a “gold rush”–like response from organizations. However, firms in general, and salespeople in particular, are uncertain about the fit between social media tools and their overall sales strategy. To address this issue, we advance a theoretical framework to explain the mechanisms through which salespeople’s use of social media operates to create value, and propose a strategic approach to social media use to achieve competitive goals. We draw on the existing literature on relationship marketing, task–technology fit theory, and sales Service Behavior to sketch a social media strategy for business-to-business sales organizations with relational selling objectives. The proposed framework describes how social media tools can help salespeople perform Service Behaviors leading to value creation.
