bimetallic Silver Nanoparticle gold nanocluster embedded composite Nanoparticles for cancer theranostics
Journal of Materials Chemistry B, 2016Co-Authors: Deepanjalee Dutta, Amaresh Kumar Sahoo, Arun Chattopadhyay, Siddhartha Sankar GhoshAbstract:A bimetallic Silver Nanoparticle based gold nanocluster module has been developed for theranostic cellular application by a rapid and simple galvanic exchange method. The use of chitosan as a template has helped to convert the bimetallic system into composite Nanoparticles, which can be easily delivered into cancer cells. The synthesized composite Nanoparticles offer the advantage of combinatorial properties of the metals present in two different nanoscale levels enabling both killing and bioimaging of cancer cells. Detailed molecular events of cell death were illustrated for this combined module to decipher apoptotic mediated cell death.

electrodeposition of Silver Nanoparticle arrays on ito coated glass and their application as reproducible surface enhanced raman scattering substrate
Applied Surface Science, 2011Co-Authors: Juncao Bian, Zhongdong Chen, Xiwen Zhang, Gaorong HanAbstract:Abstract In this paper, a double-potentiostatic method is used for preparation of highly efficient and uniform surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) substrate. The method takes advantage of the quick nucleation and slow growth process, yielding Silver Nanoparticle arrays (NAs) containing large amount of hot spots, which bring about these dense Silver NAs for reproducible SERS application.

Controlled biohybrid nanoprobes with Silver Nanoparticle clusters for Raman imaging
The Analyst, 2013Co-Authors: Ghulam Jalani, Sangyeop Lee, Chan Woo Jung, Hongdeok Jang, Jaebum Choo, Dong Woo LimAbstract:A new class of biohybrid nanoprobes has been developed for surface-enhanced Raman scattering-based bioimaging. Silver Nanoparticle clusters were encapsulated in polymeric Nanoparticles using electrohydrodynamic jetting, followed by stabilization and bioconjugation. Controlled SERS intensity with high sensitivity, chemical stability, and biocompatibility makes the SERS biohybrid nanoprobes useful for bioimaging.
