    Abstract:

    Objective To study retrospectively the relationship between the side effects related to conventional intrauterine device and some Sociological factors(age, educational level, labour body position).Methods Using the data collected from a survey of 13437 IUD carried out by the Maternity and Child Hospital of Yantian District in 2003-2005, total 1908 cases of conventional IUD of three types(“O”, “T”, and “▽”type) with 636 cases for each type and a matching number of “O”, “T”, and “▽”type in each age group were sampled randomly. Correlation between the data on side effects of each groups and their age, educational level, and labour body position were analyzed. respectively.Results statistical analysis showed that the side effects of three types of IUD had a positive corelation with age and educational level in a certain extent, but had a notablely positive corelation with labour body positions, especially the labour stand-up posture. In the 99 cases with labour stand-up posture and “▽”type IUD, the frequency of side effects reached 78.79%.Conclusion our results showed that the side effects of conventional IUD of three types ware related to age, educational level, and labour body position.

    Abstract:

    Objective To study retrospectively the relationship between the adverse effects induced by placing conventional intrauterine device(IUD) and some Sociological factors(age,educational level,body position during working). Methods A survey of 13437 women carried IUD has been done.1908 cases carried conventional IUD of three types("O","T",and "" types) were sampled from them,and with 636 cases for each type and a matching number of "O", "T",and "" types in each group were sampled randomly.A statistic analysis of the association between adverse effects induced by placing IUD and the age,educational level and body position had been performed,respectively.Results The incidences of adverse effects of "O","T",and "" types of conventional IUD were positively associated with age,educational level and body position during working.The body position during working had typically positive association with three kinds of IUD,especially in "" type of IUD,the incidence of adverse effects reach to 78.79%(P0.01).Conclusion Age,educational level and body position during working are involved in the occurrence of adverse effects of "O","T",and "" types of IUD.

    Abstract:

    This paper observes the struggle for life of East Asia people that was portrayed in the novel The Good Earth. The Good Earth is also portrayal of a true account experienced by its author, Pearl S Buck. She got inspiration from the life of farmer in China. She wrote this novel using the original name as the main character.  Those names are Wang Lung and O Lan. They are couple and their life is on farm. The objectives of this study are to find the pragmatic and Sociological Aspects of the Novel. This research applies content analysis approach to understand the pragmatic and Sociological life in Chinese society, especially in the novel. The finding of the study shows that the utterances in the novel reflect various speech acts i.e. expressive, assertive, commisive, persuasive, directive, and phatic. In the Sociological Aspect, the life of rural people in Chine is somewhat similar with that of in Indonesia. Otherwise, rural people have life style in common i.e. working hard, struggle for life, defending their belonging, and loving the nature.Keywords: pragmatic analysis; Sociological perspective; Good Earth

    Abstract:

    The article is devoted to the actual problem of social services for elderly citizens at home. The whole social service system requires modernization based on the principles of providing social services to form motivation for active longevity and to develop social interaction of the elderly. The article deals with the issues of socialization of older people, its features, objective and subjective factors, the opinions of scientists on the factors, typology of socialization. There are presented the main problems of elderly people receiving services of social service institutions in the Russian Federation, identified on the basis of statistical data. There are outlined directions of the State strategy for development of the system of social services for older generation, improvement of their quality of life and active longevity under the conditions of socio-economic crisis. The author uses the results of own Sociological survey of408 elderly respondents receiving social services in the social service institutions for the elderly. The importance of the services related to maintaining healthy and socially active longevity, organization of life and leisure, constructive interaction with relatives, for successful socialization of elderly people is shown. It is established that the most intensive socialization occurs in the process of providing social and socio-medical services. The dominant setting of elderly people is preservation of health; at the same time, it is the state of health that mostly determines the success of socialization of the elderly. For their active and healthy longevity elderly people prefer primarily cultural, educational, sports activities. However, many rely on the support of social service organizations.
