    Abstract:

    Formal models are widely used in performance and dependability studies of computational systems. Graphical modeling tools allow users to compose such models with ease, but they complicate the creation of models with a dynamic/complex structure, the hierarchical arrangement of different models, and the automatic execution of models with different parameter configurations. To overcome this problem, we created a scripting language for the Mercury tool that supports the combination of different modeling approaches (e.g., stochastic petri nets and Reliability Block Diagrams) in a single project. In this paper, we focus on the extensions developed to improve the capabilities of Generalized stochastic petri net Modeling: substitution transitions, phase-type delays for timed transitions, support for nets with a variable structure, and event-based programming for simulation.

    Interval arithmetic has been applied to model uncertainties and variabilities. An interval model is a space, family or class of models in which there are parameters represented by intervals, instead of real numbers. This paper describes the interval generalized stochastic petri net (IGSPN) as an interval extension to the GSPN model. The IGSPN analysis takes into account the effects of variability on exponential transition rates and weights when calculating dependability measures. IGSPN analysis may be useful as a tool for decisionmaking. A Case study is presented for describing the models as well as for presenting the analysis methods.

    The paper proposes a workflow model based on discrete stochastic petri net and a corresponding time performance calculating method. On the basis of workflow nets and the principles of simplifying workflow net based T-component nets which maintains time constraints and probability distribution of tasks in workflow, several basic structures like sequence, parallelism, choice and iteration can be equivalently simplified through equivalent performance parameter calculating method which puts in consider more generally meaningful probability distribution of time delay of workflow activity.

This paper builds risk decision-making of TOT concession period based Fuzzy petri net, then use stochastic petri net for solving Markov process, which reflects the impact of Cash Inflow(CI) and Cash Outflow(CO) by project risk factors. It provides a new solution ideas and methods for TOT concession period.
