a novel ketone derivative of artemisinin biotransformed by Streptomyces Griseus atcc 13273
Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry Letters, 2006Co-Authors: Yougen Chen, Boyang Yu, Yijun ChenAbstract:A novel ketone derivative of artemisinin, artemisitone-9, was produced by the biotransformation of cultured Streptomyces Griseus ATCC 13273. The structure of the ketone product was fully elucidated by various spectroscopic techniques, and the mechanism of generating such novel metabolite is also discussed.

-
The primary structure of the glutamic acid-specific protease of Streptomyces Griseus.
FEBS letters, 1991Co-Authors: Ib Svendsen, Martin Roland Jensen, Klaus BreddamAbstract:The amino acid sequence and part of the DNA sequence of a glutamic acid-specific serine protease from Streptomyces Griseus is reported. This protease is shown to be homologous with other serine proteases. An improved purification protocol for this enzyme is described.
