Due to the high quantity and diversity of the almandine garnets, this area is unique. Garnet occurs as isolated euhedral crystals in the volcanic rock, as the principal component of metapelitic xenoliths in dacite, and as a Terrigenous Deposit formed by the erosion of the volcanic dome. In this work, we provide new mineralogical and geochemical data, which should be taken into account during the processing and recovery of the garnet placer.

Hydrocarbon generation potential of the Palaeogene Es_3 source rock in the Tangyi subsag of the Shenxian sag
Special Oil & Gas Reservoirs, 2013Co-Authors: Cao Hong-mingAbstract:Geochemical analysis data(organic carbon,chloroform bitumen "A",kerogen maceral,isotope,vitrinite reflectance,etc.) are employed to evaluate the potential of hydrocarbon generation by organic matter abundance,type and thermal maturity for the Es3 dark mudstone in the Tangyi subsag of Shenxian sag.The result indicates that dark mudstone had developed in this subsag;the abundance of organic matter is high in the lower member of Es3 source rocks,belonging to medium-good source rock,showing characteristics of hybrid parent materials of Terrigenous Deposit and Type Ⅱ2-Ⅱ1 kerogen;holistic approach indicates that the source rock started to generate hydrocarbon from 2 950 m and reached generation peak from 4 000 m downward.

Characteristics of Organic Petrology and Hydrocarbon-generating Potential of Wayaopu Coal Measures
2004Co-Authors: Yao Su-pingAbstract:Wayaopu coal formation is one of the most important coal formations and the earliest idea of oils from Terrigenous Deposit possibly origin ated from it. Based on the research results of the organic petrology and coal petrology, it is fromed to peat bog facies in deep underwater forest, the coals contain high-content liptinites, and the desmocollinites are the main type of vitrinite group of the coals and the desmocollinites have higher petroleum potential. Organic geochemistry shows that the kerogen type of WaYaoPu coal formations is Ⅱ, lower-middle maturity. The result of thermal simulation experiment on the coal shows that the coal has higher oil production, but it is difficult to form industrial oil-gas accumulation because of the low potential oil generating ability of the darker mudstones and the low maturity of the main macerals in the coal, and small scale and thin coal-beds of the coal in spite of its high potential oil generating ability.
