By testing capacitance variation ΔC between the sensor and two plates. It can detect the spread of area of the Fabric seepage ΔS and determine the seepage rate of the Tested Fabric. The Calibration testing has been achieved for the Sensor and Circuit. The data is given out. The linear distortion of the testing Sensor and Circuit is smaller than 5%.It can meet the technical requirements of the testing seepage characteristics of textile products.

An analysis of the factors affecting Fabric drape
2020Co-Authors: Zhou JingAbstract:When Fabric is made up to be garments or home textiles,the mechanical property of the Fabric decides their drape.This arti- cle,by use of experimental testing,studied and analyzed the relationship of the Fabric structure parameters and mechanical properties against the Fabric drape.The result shows that the breaking elongation,bending rigidity and adjustable ratio of the Tested Fabric are closely related to its drape.But Fabric thickness and weight are of no remarkable effect on the drape.

Application of Three ASTM Test Methods to Measure Thermal Resistance of Clothing

To permit testing Fabrics with small thermal resistance, a standard air layer was incorporated as a part of the test assembly. This air layer, placed on the cold side of Tested Fabric, is used for two reasons: (1) to reduce experimental errors, and (2) to permit testing radiative properties of the Fabric surface.
