    Abstract:

    ABSTRACT Toilet Training is an effort to train children to be able to control and urinate (BAK) and defecate (BAB). Toilet Training is one of the main tasks of children at toddler age. Toilet Training is one of the main tasks of children in toddler age which is very important to be done to create independence in children in controlling BAK and BAB and children know the parts of the body and their functions. Data in 2012 shows that ± 60% of parents do not teach Toilet Training to children from an early age. The aim of the study was to find out the effectiveness of Toilet Training education on maternal behavior and Toilet skills in toddler age Training (18-36 months). The study was conducted in July-August 2018. This type of quantitative research used the design of the Quasy pretest and posttest experiment with non-equivalent control group design. Samples were 36 mothers and 36 children with purposive sampling technique. Data analysis used Paired t test, Wilcoxon test, Man-Whitney test an Independent t test. The results showed that Toilet Training education through lecture methods, modules and maze games was more effective than Toilet Training education through lecture and leaflet methods on children's knowledge and abilities. Conversely, for the role of mothers in supervision there is no significant difference in effectiveness. Health education is recommended in health promotion programs to increase maternal knowledge, the role of mothers and the ability of Toilet Training children independently. Toilet Training merupakan salah satu tugas utama anak pada usia toddler yang mana sangat penting dilakukan untuk menciptakan kemandirian pada anak dalam mengontrok BAK dan BAB serta anak mengetahui bagian tubuh dan fungsinya. Data tahun 2012 menunjukkan ±60% orang tua tidak mengajarkan Toilet Training pada anak sejak dini. Tujuan penelitian diketahuinya efektivitas edukasi Toilet Training terhadap perilaku ibu dan kemampuan Toilet Training anak usia toddler (18–36 bulan). Penelitian dilakukan bulan Juli-Agustus 2018. Jenis penelitian kuantitatif menggunakan desain Quasy Eksperimen pretest and posttest with non-equivalent control group design. Sampel sebanyak 36 ibu dan 36 anak dengan teknik purposive sampling. Analisis data yang digunakan uji Paired t test, uji Wilcoxon, uji Man-Whitney dan uji Independent t. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa pemberian edukasi Toilet Training melalui metode ceramah, modul dan permainan maze lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan edukasi Toilet Training melalui metode ceramah dan leaflet terhadap pengetahuan dan kemampuan anak. Sebaliknya, untuk peran ibu dalam pengawasan tidak ada perbedaan efektivitas yang bermakna. Disarankan pendidikan kesehatan dalam program promosi kesehatan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu, peran ibu serta kemampuan anak Toilet Training secara mandiri.     Abstract:

    Toddler is a child aged 12–36 months and has increased independence, accompanied by increased cognitive abilities and mobility. Toilet Training is an exercise for urination and defecation in children. The aim of this study is to describe and analyze the efforts of parents in Toilet Training children in Posyandu Asparaga Bendogerit Urban Village, Sananwetan District, Blitar City. The study uses a descriptive design and the methods used in this study were usually interviews and observations. The study was conducted at the participant’s home after collecting data at the Asparaga Posyandu in Bendogerit Village Sananwetan District in March–April 2019. The research was obtained across three themes, namely the theme of children’s readiness in Toilet Training, the theme of efforts of parents in Toilet Training, and the success of Toilet Training in children. On the theme of child readiness in Toilet Training, most children between the ages of 18 and 36 months had the readiness to be Toilet trained. On the theme of the efforts of parents in Toilet Training in children, most participants had already Toilet trained their children. On the theme of the success of Toilet Training in children, most children did not succeed in Toilet Training, it is was seen as not being able to express one's wishes before pooping, while using pampers at a certain time and bedwetting at night and during the day.

    Abstract:

    Toilet Training adalah langkah penting menuju otonomi dan pengendalian diri pada anak usia toddler. Salah satu peran orang tua membentuk kemandirian pada anak dengan melakukan Toilet Training. Kegagalan saat Toilet Training dapat menimbulkan kebiasaan seperti mengompol, eneuresis dan ISK. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara peran orang tua dengan keberhasilan Toilet Training pada anak usia toddler di TPA Kelurahan Guntung Paikat Banjarbaru. Desain penelitian ini adalah cross sectional dengan uji Spearman. Sampel sebanyak 30 responden dengan purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan kuesioner peran orang tua  dan keberhasilan Toilet Training. Hasil analisis menunjukkan nilai signifikan p= 0,000 < 0,05 r=0,492 sehingga H0 ditolak, artinya ada hubungan antara peran orang tua dan keberhasilan Toilet Training pada anak usia toddler. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa semakin mendukungnya peran orang tua maka semakin tinggi pula tingkat keberhasilan yang di capai anak.   Kata kunci: Peran Orang Tua , Toddler, Toilet Training. ABSTRACT Toilet Training is essential for the autonomy and self-control on toddler. It is one way that can be done by the parents to practice their children’s independence who do a Toilet Training. However, the failures might occur while on the Toilet Training trigger off such as the habit of bedwetting, enuresis, and urinary tract infection (UTI). This research purpose was to undestand the relationship between the roles of parents with the successful of Toilet Training on toddler at TPA Kelurahan Guntung Paikat Banjarbaru. The design of this research was cross sectional with analysis used spearman correlation test. Samples that had been taken used a purposive sampling with 30 respondents. The data analysis used spearman correlation test. There was a significant relationship between the roles of parents with the successful of Toilet Training at TPA Kelurahan Guntung Paikat Banjarbaru with (p value = 0,000 and r=0,492. The meaning there was relationship between the roles of parents on the Toilet Training would influence the successful of Toilet Training.It was seen that the more supportive of the parent’s roles were, the higher rate of successful achieved by children would be.   Keywords: The Role of Parents, Toddler, Toilet Training
