Among research accessed, none conducted Usability evaluations where security as Attribute was evaluated on m-commerce applications. Therefore, a new Usability model for m-commerce applications is proposed, including security as Usability Attribute having direct effects on the market behavior and efficiency of users’ experiences with m-commerce applications. The research addressed the imbalance in literature by conducting a Usability evaluation incorporating security, aiding validation of the proposed Usability model. The study also addressed the lack of security Attribute as instance of existing Usability models and proposed a domain-specific evaluation method for Usability evaluation of m-commerce websites. The outcomes showed that users consider security to be an important parameter when navigating m-commerce websites. Therefore, mobile application design and web design should look at optimizing the performance of security Attributes for m-commerce websites, boosting customers’ shopping online quality of service.

Therefore investigated and analyzed the feasibility of mlearning by doing a review of published research in the past decade (2000 � 2010) analyzing successful mlearning projects and mlearning in general as well as realized analyses of advantages and the pitfalls and issues found. Based on this analyses provided are recommendations for improving mlearning in general. To have successful and efficient mlearning it is essential to devise and implement appropriate Usability testing methodologies to evaluate the Usability of mobile applications. The primary goal of this research study was to develop more efficient Usability testing methodology that the authors called MLUAT (Mobile Learning Usability Attribute Testing) for mlearning and comparing its results with two other Usability testing methods aimed for elearning and applied in mlearning. Findings showed that the developed MLUAT methodology is more efficient and recommendations for approaching and improving mlearning are discussed.

Scenario Based Ranking of Usability Attributes

IngleAbstract:During the Usability evaluation process, the impact and behavior of each Usability Attribute may vary in various software projects and thus instantiates to prioritize the Usability Attributes involved in the usable software. It has been observed that scenario based evaluation proves to be the best approach for dealing with software development related qualities. Scenarios may provide an excellent manner of synthesizing behavior of individual Usability Attribute in a common view facilitating easy assessment of these Attributes. Therefore, scenarios have been used as the strong tool for evaluating some issues related to Usability. In this paper, we propose a Scenario Based Ranking Method (SBRM) for computing the ranks of Usability Attributes. With user satisfaction/ acceptance being the primary measure, SBRM will prove to be a useful means for ranking Usability Attributes. It will be a step towards providing measures of Usability, improvement in usable software development process subsequently. Especially, SBRM will be useful for incorporating Usability Attributes with preferences during the process of usable software development.

Methods of Ranking Usability Attributes — A comparative study

IngleAbstract:The impact/ role of each Usability Attribute may vary during the Usability evaluation process and has to be quantitatively evaluated to decide relative importance of each Attribute in development process. Thus, to rank Usability Attributes there exist an algorithm “CompuRank” and Scenario Based Ranking Method (SBRM) for ranking Usability Attributes in software development process. However, it is required to unify and authenticate the ranks of Usability Attributes computed using these methods. A survey based approach has also been proposed that empirically estimates ranks by collecting the opinions of software professionals from various organizations. In this context, we compare the ranks of Usability Attributes computed using “CompuRank”, SBRM and survey based approach with intention of unification and substantiation of ranks. It leads to reach at agreeable ranks of Usability Attributes during development of usable software.
