  • Indoleacetic acid derivatives from the seeds of Ziziphus jujuba var. spinosa.
    Fitoterapia, 2014
Co-Authors: Yu Wang, Hiroshi Kurihara, Bun Tsoi, Xiao-jie Jin, Xiaojun Yao, Yi Dai, Xin-sheng Yao
    Abstract:

A pair of diastereoisomers, the N-glycosylated derivatives of dioxindole-3-hydroxy-3-acetic acid 1-2, and their conjugates with flavonoids 3-8, was isolated from the seeds of Ziziphus jujuba var. spinosa. Their structures were elucidated by NMR spectroscopic analyses, and the absolute configurations were determined by circular dichroism method. Compounds 3-10 were evaluated for the antioxidant capacity, using the radical absorbance capacity (ORAC) assay. (C) 2014 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

  • Dynamic Changes of the Antioxidant Substances in Leaf of Ziziphus jujuba Mill. var. jujuba f. lageniformis (Nakai) Kitag.
    Hunan Agricultural Sciences, 2012
    Co-Authors: Chen Zong-li
    Abstract:

Through determining the dynamic changes of antioxidant substances in leaf of Ziziphus jujuba Mill. var. jujuba f. lageniformis(Nakai) Kitag at different growth periods, the correlation between inter-monthly difference of environment factors(UV radiation, precipitation, etc.) and activities of antioxidant substances(SOD and POD) in leaf of Ziziphus jujuba Mill. var. jujuba f. lageniformis(Nakai) Kitag was studied. The results showed that the activities of SOD and POD were weaker when the Ziziphus jujuba Mill. var. jujuba f. lageniformis(Nakai) Kitag in the primary growth period(April-May) as the UV-B radiation is intensity, and the precipitation, average temperature, sunshine hours, and other environmental conditions are moderate;step into vigorous-growth and flowering period(June,July),the activities of SOD and POD increased with increasing precipitation though there were some other environment stresses(such as UV-B radiation);step into mature and rest period(from August to October),the precipitation decreased gradually, and the other environment stresses(UV-B radiation, etc.) also reduced, the activities of SOD and POD in plant decreased.

  • Analysis of Contents of Several Organic Acids in Flesh of Wild Ziziphus jujuba var.spinosa
    Hunan Agricultural Sciences, 2011
    Co-Authors: Chen Zong-li
    Abstract:

To compare the differences in content of several organic acids in flesh of Ziziphus jujuba var.spinosa between six different varieties, the contents of total acids and Vc were determined by titrimetric method and the contents of oleanolic acid and ursolic acid were determined by HPLC.The results showed that the contents of total acids,Vc,oleanolic acid and ursolic acid in flesh of the six Ziziphus jujuba var.spinosa varieties were significant difference. The contents of Vc,oleanolic acid and ursolic acid in the flesh of Ziziphus jujuba var.spinosa are quite high, which has a great value for exploitation and utilization.

  • Tissue Culture and Rapid Propagation of Ziziphus jujuba cv Jinzao and the Study on Stability of Chromosome
    Hubei Agricultural Sciences, 2010
    Co-Authors: Chen Zong-li
    Abstract:

To build up the cloning of Ziziphus jujuba Mill cv Jinzao with the first year bug, orthogonal experiment in sub-culture was used and the chromosome was observed. The study showed that the medium used for subculture was MS+ sucrose 30 g/L+agar 5.5 g/L+IBA 0.2 mg/L+6-BA 1.0 mg/L+ TDZ 0.01 mg/L.The chromosome from the culture and the maternal kept stable.

  • Analysis of Chlorophyll Content in Ziziphus jujuba Species with in Vitro Trees
    Hubei Agricultural Sciences, 2009
    Co-Authors: Chen Zong-li
    Abstract:

The chlorophyll contents in the leaves of three Ziziphus jujuba varieties were determined using acetone-ethanol extraction method and the SPAD-502 in vivo measuring meter. The result showed that the chlorophyll content of the three jujube varieties growing in the field was higher than that in vitro.

  • chemical constituents from the seeds of Ziziphus jujuba var spinosa bunge hu
Journal of Integrative Plant Biology, 2005
Co-Authors: L I Limei, Xun Liao, Shulin Peng, Lisheng Ding
    Abstract:

To search for new and bioactive minor components from traditional Chinese medicines, a new compound, named jujuphenoside, (1), was isolated from the seeds of Ziziphus jujuba var. spinosa (Bunge) Hu. The structure of jujuphenoside was elucidated by spectral and chemical methods, particularly two-dimensional nuclear magnetic resonance analysis. Together with the new compound, 22 known compounds were also isolated and identified from the seeds of Z jujuba var. spinosa, among which, epiceanothic acid (2) was first obtained from natural resources, whereas compounds 7-16 were first obtained from this plant.
