    Summary Electrophoretic and immunoelectrophoretic techniques in Agar Gel were used to study the composition of serum proteins in 13 nephrotic and uremic dogs. A definite elevation of serum a2-glycoproteins proved to be an outstanding feature displayed by all electrophoretic patterns; in some sera an increased level of s-globulin was observed, while atypical protein aggregates were detected in three serum samples. There was no apparent correlation between distinct types of serum dysproteinaemia and urea levels in the blood. Zusammenfassung AgarGel-Elektrophorese-Untersuchungen an Serum-Proteinen bei uramischen Hunden An 13 Hunden mit Nephrose und Uramie wurde die Zusammensetzung der Serum-Proteine mit Hilfe der Elektrophorese und Immunoelektrophorese im AgarGel untersucht. In allen Fallen wurde eine deutliche Erhohung der a2-Glykoproteine festgestellt. In einigen Seren war der Gehalt an s-Globulin erhoht und in 3 Fallen wurden atypische Proteinaggregate gefunden. Eine Korrelation zwischen bestimmten Dysproteinamie-Typen und der Harnstoffkonzentration im Blut besteht nicht. Resume Electrophorese en Gelose des proteines seriques de chiens uremiques On emploie des techniques electrophoretiques et immunoelectrophoretiques en Gelose, pour etudier la composition des proteines seriques chez 13 chiens nephrotiques et uremiques. On observe une augmentation nette des a2-glycoproteines seriques dans tous les electropherogrammes; on observe dans quelques serums une augmentation de la teneur en s-globulines, de plus, l'on trouve dans 3 echantillons seriques des agregats proteiques atypiques. On ne note aucune correlation apparente entre les differents types de dysproteinemie serique et le taux de l'uree dans le sang. Resumen Electroforesis sobre Gel de Agar de las proteinas sericas en perros uremicos Se utilizaron tecnicas electroforeticas e inmunoelectroforeticas en Gel de Agar para estudiar la composicion de las proteinas sericas en 13 perros nefroticos y uremicos. La elevacion definitiva de las a2-glucoproteinas sericas prueba que se trata de un rasgo prominente desplegado por todos los patrones electroforeticos; en algunos sueros sanguineos se observaron niveles aumentados de globulina s, mientras que agregados proteicos atipicos se detectaron en tres muestras de sueros. No existia correlacion aparente entre los tipos distintos de disproteinemia serica y los niveles de urea en sangre.

    The bacteriostasis function of six anthraquinone compounds has been study in this paper by Electrophoresis method. Escherichia Coli was cultivated in the culture medium containing anthraquinone compounds, then the DNA was extracted, and then was detected by Agar Gel Electrophoresis. The Electrophoresis showed that the DNA incubated with anthraquinone compounds was different from normal DNA. The above results indicated that the genetic material in Escherichia Coli has be changed, which will inhibit the growth.

    Objective To study the bacteriostasis function of shikonin and rubiadine to Escherichia Coli.Methods Escherichia Coli was cultivated in the culture medium which containing shikonin or rubiadine,then the DNA was extracted,and then was detected by Agar Gel Electrophoresis.In addition,DNA of normal Escherichia Coli was extracted,and then was incubated with shikonin or rubiadine,then was detected by Agar Gel Electrophoresis.Results Compared with blank sample,new fragments appeared in samples of above two methods,which indicated that the genetic material in Escherichia Coli has be changed,and then will inhibit the growth.Conclusion Shikonin and rubiadine could inhibit the growth of Escherichia Coli obviously.

    Abstract:

    OBJECTIVE: To establish a new method named PCR- immunochromatographic test (PCR-ICT) for rapid test of Enterohemorrhagic E. coli(EHEC) O157. METHODS: The specific hemolysin gene segment (hlyAB) was used as an indicator for EHEC screening. According to the gene squences of hlyAB, the specific probe was designed and labeled by digoxin while the primers were quoted and the former one was labeled with biotin. The amplification products were detected by colloid gold ICT stripes. RESULTS: 5 strains of EHEC O157: H7 were analyzed by the method which show positive stripes, and 5 strains of common E. coli non-EHEC and 5 strains of other which all show negative results. 43 export food samples of iced shrimp meat, iced shellfish meat, iced chicken and iced pork. The results were all negetive which concordant with those of Agar Gel Electrophoresis and culture medium methods. CONCLUSION: The new developed PCR-ICT may be rapid and convenient for screening EHEC, it could save time and labour compared with Agar Gel Electrophoresis.
