According to these problems, taking the example of the “Shilin Taiwan Farmers' Innovation Park of Kunming” (referred to as “Tai Chuang Yuan”) as research object, it is necessary to develop the visual information platform of Agricultural Science and Technology Park focus on the practical requirements of TaiChuangYuan's Information Management System to plan and management the Modern Agricultural Science Park with 3S Technology. The platform have achieved the scientific, information, and visual management for the Park's fundamental facilities and have improved the management level and efficiency of Agricultural Science and Technology Park to provide basic data and auxiliary support of decision for the TaiChuangYuan's Management Committee.

The Journal of Agricultural Science, 2016Co-Authors: Ransford Opoku Darko, Shouqi Yuan, Sarah Frema Opoku, Christina Offei Ansah, Junping Liu, Nancy AnsahAbstract:Agriculture has predominantly been observed as the activity of men with little or no interest by women hence this study was conducted in two public senior high schools in the Assin South district of the Central region of Ghana aimed to investigate gender differences in attitude towards the learning of Agricultural Science. A sample of 198, comprising of 188 students and 10 teachers of Agricultural Science took part in the survey. The research instrument used for the data collection was questionnaire which was developed by the researchers in two different forms, one for the Agricultural Science students and the other for the Agricultural Science teachers. Research findings from the study indicated that gender had no significant influence on students’ attitude towards the learning of Agricultural Science. Also, the attitude of female students towards Agricultural Science as a profession is not different from that of the male students. The study again concluded that teachers and parents play a key role influencing students to pursue related Science courses. However students should be given the room to express their choice of programme to pursue at the senior high level. It must be reiterated that teachers have a major role to play in increasing and sustaining the interest of students in the study of Agricultural Science. The study recommends that students especially females should be encouraged, towards building a positive attitude in learning of Agricultural Science to take up major future roles related to the field.

Agricultural Science, 2015Co-Authors: Ransford Opoku Darko, Christina Offeiansah, Yuan Shouqi, Liu JunpingAbstract:The study was conducted in selected Public Senior High Schools in the Cape Coast Metropolis aimed at investigating the challenges in the teaching and learning of Agricultural Science. In all a sample of 78 respondents involving 60 Agricultural Science students and 18 Agricultural Science teachers were involved. The research instrument used for the data collection was questionnaire which was developed by the researcher in two different forms, one for the Agricultural Science students and the other for the Agricultural Science teachers. Research findings from the study indicated that the major challenges facing the teaching and learning of Agricultural Science include frequent use of lecture method in teaching, large class size and poor remuneration of teachers. Others include inadequate teaching and learning materials and their availability, difficulty in planning field trips as well as laziness and truancy on the part of teachers. However, it must be emphasized that motivational factors such as one’s own interest, having a role model, future ambitions and the supply of adequate textbooks positively affect the teaching and learning of Agricultural Science in Public Senior High Schools in the Metropolis. The study recommends that parents must be educated to understand the important role and prospects the learning of Agricultural Science contributes to the development of a country. Also the Government, Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and other stakeholders must help to improve the service of Agricultural Science Teachers.

International Journal of Library and Information Science, 2013Co-Authors: B U Kannappanavar, H M Chidan, A SwamyAbstract:The study highlights the issues relating to the CAS and SDI services in Agricultural Science university libraries in India, with special reference to South India. The required data were collected through a structured questionnaire, and the same is tabulated in the form of tables. Necessary statistical tests have been applied to draw the inferences. The study found that 48.42% of PG students, 52% of research scholars and 48% of faculty members have expressed that they are getting the current books in their respective libraries. 47% of PG students, 55% of research scholars and 49% of faculty members are of the opinion that article alert services are provided by the libraries; majority of users that is 84% of PG students, 80% of research scholars and 86% of faculty members are feeling that they require index of articles. 95% of PG students, 96% of research scholars and 90% of faculty members are of the opinion that they require the abstract of the articles for their study and research. Overall, 17% of PG students, 30% of research scholars and 28% of faculty members are satisfied with the existing CAS services provided by the libraries under the study. On the other hand, 32% of PG students, 30% of research scholars and 30% of faculty members have expressed that they need SDI services. But overall 19% of PG students, 48% of research scholars and 51% of faculty members are feeling happy with the existing SDI services provided by the libraries. The remaining users are not satisfied with SDI services. Key words: CAS and SDI services, Agricultural Science, libraries, research scholars.

As such, manpower planning is needed to know about the staff pattern, functions of the organizations, job analysis, effective providing of library services, etc. The present study identified the manpower working and manpower requirements in the Agricultural Science University Libraries in India. The paper concluded with the remarks as all the libraries are working without adequate managerial and supervisory staff, there is need to recruit these staff, other wise the functions and services of the Agricultural Science universities will get affected adversely.
