    Abstract:

    Helmizuryani et al, 2018. Growth Effectivity of Climbing Perch (Anabas testudineus) Used Vitamin C and D as Feed Suplement. JLSO 7(2):164-173. The added of vitamin in feed is expected to increase the feed efficiency ,growth and survival of climbing perch (Anabas testudineus). This research was conducted to analysis the effectivity of vitamin supplement to increased the growth and survival of climbing perch (Anabas testudineus). The method used was an experimental method, with Completely Randomized Design (CRD), and three levels of treatment. The research carried out at Fish Hatchery Unit named Mulia on Plaju district, Palembang city. It's started from March until May 2018. The treatment used vitamin C and D gives the doses differentiation, that were V1 (doses of vitamin C 125 mg/kg feed), V2 (doses of vitamin D 375 mg/kg feed), and V3 (doses of vitamin C + D 125 mg/kg feed and 375 mg/kg feed). The growth analysis parameter was the growth of length, weight, and survival rate. The results that showed the best growth and survival of climbing perch (Anabas testudineus) were vitamin D and C, where best mass on V3 about 3,89 g. While the lowest on V1 about 2,7g. The best growth length on V3 about 4,61 cm, otherwise the weakest on V1 about 3,85 cm. The survival rate was highest on V3 about 88,33% and the lowest on V2 about 83,33%. Vitamin required for a fish body to carry out metabolism, but if overuses could be hipervitaminosis.Â

    Abstract:

    This study aimed to determine the effect of giving corn oil to feed on maturation of gonad betok fish (Anabas testudineus). This research had been carried out in Unit Pembenihan Rakyat (UPR) Mulia Kelurahan Talang Bubuk Kecamatan Plaju Palembang, from May to July 2018. This research method used Experimental method with the experiment of adding corn oil to pellets feed with different doses by using the Design Complete Random (CRD) with each treatment repeated 3 times. The treatment of giving corn oil in feed consisted of 3 levels of treatment that was P1 20 ml/kg of feed, P2 25 ml/kg of feed and P3 30 ml/kg of feed. Data processing method use variance analysis by comparing F obtained with F table 5% and 1%. From the results of the study showed that the addition of corn oil in feed as much 30 ml/kg of feed had the highest value in the level of gonad maturity, fecundity, and gonad maturity index. While the addition of corn oil on the feed as much as 20 ml/kg of feed provided the highest data on survival rates. During the 60 days of research, also obtained water quality data on maintenance media of betok fish in the form of DO ranged from 4,8 to 6,5 mg/l, pH ranged from 5-7 and temperatures ranged from 26-29 °C.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian minyak jagung pada pakan terhadap pematangan gonad ikan betok (Anabas testudineus). Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan di Unit Pembenihan Rakyat (UPR) Mulia Kelurahan Talang Bubuk Kecamatan Plaju Kota Palembang pada bulan Mei sampai dengan bulan Juli 2018. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode Eksperimental dengan percobaan penambahan minyak jagung pada pakan pelet dengan dosis berbeda yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan masing-masing perlakuan diulang sebanyak 3 kali. Perlakuan pemberian minyak jagung pada pakan terdiri atas 3 tingkat perlakuan yaitu P1 20 ml/kg pakan, P2 25 ml/kg pakan dan P3 30 ml/kg pakan. Metode pengolahan data menggunakan analisis sidik ragam dengan membandingkan F hitung dengan F tabel 5% dan 1%. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan penambahan minyak jagung pada pakan sebanyak 30 ml/kg pakan memiliki nilai tertinggi pada tingkat kematangan gonad, fekunditas dan indeks kematangan gonad. Sedangkan penambahan minyak jagung pada pakan sebanyak 20 ml/kg pakan memberikan data tertinggi terhadap tingkat kelangsungan hidup. Selama 60 hari penelitian diperoleh juga data kualitas air pada media pemeliharaan ikan betok berupa DO berkisar antara 4,8-6,5 mg/l, pH berkisar antara 5-7 dan suhu berkisar antara 26-29 °C

JLSO 5(1):35-42.Anabas testudineusis one of indigenous fish in Indonesia spread on swamp and river, need attention because the population endangered and higher people consumption. This research aims to identification fruits extract function toward larvae feminization. It has dipping together with larvae for 10 hours, which doze 3 ml/l by different fruits extract.The larvae was 7 days old. After dipping, it has rearing on aquarium during 90 days became seed stage which observation sex ratio and seed growth.  This research was conduct on hatchery at Community Unit “Mulia†Plaju, Palembang and Chemical Laboratory, University of Muhammadiyah Palembang from Februari until April 2016. Larvae was got from broodstock reproduction at hatchery. Experiment method used completely ramdomized design and three treatment of different fruits extract, and three repetation.The treatment are P1: the avocado extract, P2: the bengkoang extract, and P3: date palm extract. The experiment showed the higher survival rate was P2 (64,44%), the higher length growth was P1 (3,11 mm), the highest weigth growth was P1 (1,03 gr). The best sex ratio for female was P1 (74.07%).The best sex ratio for male was P2 (48,12%)

    Abstract:

    Salah satu kendala dalam pembudidayaan ikan betok (Anabas testudineus) adalah adanya perbedaan ukuran yang mencolok antara individu jantan dan betina. Sehingga menyebabkan hasil panen yang bervariasi. Selain faktor genetik, perbedaan ini dikarenakan adanya pengaruh dari jenis kelamin terkait dengan pertumbuhan ikan, dimana ikan betok betina lebih cepat pertumbuhannya dibandingkan dengan ikan betok jantan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui tingkat keefisienan perendaman menggunakan larutan susu sapi, larutan susu kedelai, dan kombinasi dari laturan susu sapi dan susu kedelai pada tingkat keberhasilan feminisasi larva ikan betok (Anabas testudineus). Larva ikan berumur 3 hari hasil dari pemijahan sendiri. Larva ikan diberi perlakuan berupa perendaman pada setiap perlakuan selama 10 jam dengan dosis 2ml/liter. Pemeliharaan larva selama 60 hari wadah yang digunakan selama pemeliharaan berupa toples dengan volume 16 liter. Larva diberi makan berupa Artemia selama 10 hari, kemudian Cacing Tubifex selama 10 hari, dan dilanjutkan denagn pakan komersil berupa pellet berbentuk butiran halus, pemberian pakan secara adlibitum (sampai kenyang). Nisbah kelamin ditentukan diakhir penelitian dengan cara membedah tubuh ikan, mengambil gonad, memberi larutan Asetokarmin, dan kemudian dilakukan pengamatan dibawah mikroskop. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nisbah kelamin betina tertinggi pada perlakuan perendaman menggunakan larutan susu sapi sebesar 63%, di ikuti dengan perlakuan menggunakan kombinasi larutan susu sebesar 52%, dan terendah pada perlakuan menggunakan larutan susu kedelai sebesar 37%

    Abstract:

    Ikan betok (Anabas testudineus) merupakan salah satu spesies ikan betok yang potensial untuk dibudidayakan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengkaji dan mengevaluasi pengaruh pemberian pakan berbahan baku keong mas (Pomacea canaliculata) terhadap tingkat kematangan gonad. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Juli – Agustus 2018. Ikan betok (A. testudineus) berasal dari tangkapan alam di perairan persawahan desa Rias Kecamatan Toboali Kabupaten Bangka Selatan. Ikan vetook yang digunakan sebanyak 150 ekor dengan bobot 2 ± 10 gram. Perlakuan yang diberikan pakan buatan yang berbahan baku keong mas (P. canaliculata) dengan kandungan protein pada pakan 32%, 34%, 36%, 38% dan kontrol menggunakan pakan komersil dengan kandungan protein 31 – 33%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai Indeks Kematangan Gonad (IKG) dengan bobot gonad pada awal penelitian sebesar 0,5 gram. Setelah dilakukan perlakuan dengan pemberian pakan buatan berbahan baku tepung keong mas (P. canaliculata), hasil uji statistik menunjukkan bahwa kontrol berbeda nyata dengan perlakuan pada pengamatan GSI dengan kisaran nilai 16% ± 0.02 pada perlakuan P.38%, HSI dengan kisaran nilai 8% ± 0.01 pada perlakuan P.38%. Fekunditas ikan betok (A. testudineus) yang didapatkan pada hasil penelitian dengan kisaran 509 – 4.686 butir.     Abstract:

    Abstract: Climbing perch (Anabas testudineus) is one of the potential local fish species to be cultivated. The purpose of this study was to learn and evaluate the effect of feeding made from golden snail (Pomacea canaliculata) on the level of gonad maturity. The study was conducted in July - August 2018. The climbing perch (A. testudineus) originated from natural catchments in the rice fields of Rias village, Toboali Subdistrict, South Bangka Regency. The used fish are 150 fish with a weight of 2 ± 10 grams. The treatment given by artificial feed made from golden snail (P. canaliculata) with protein content in feed was 32%, 34%, 36%, 38% and control using commercial feed with a protein content of 31 - 33%. The results showed the value of the Gonad Maturity Index (IKG) with gonad weight at the start of the study at 0.5 gram. After treatment with artificial feed made from golden snail (P. canaliculata) flour, the results of statistical tests showed that the control was significantly different from the treatment in the GSI observation with a range of values ​​of 16% ± 0.02 in treatment P.38%, HSI with a value of 8% ± 0.01 in treatment P.38%. Fecundity of climbing perch (A. testudineus) obtained in the results of the study with a range of 509 ± 4,686 items. The development of the initial gonad maturity (TKG) of the study (TKG II) after being given artificial feed made from golden snails (P. canaliculata) increased with the level of gonad  maturity reaching stage IV.     ABSTRACT             Climbing perch (Anabas testudineus) is a kind of swamp fish which is potentially to be cultivated. Photoperiod is one of factor that influence growth from culture fish larvae. Light also influence growth hormone and make larvae easier to eat their feed because larvae usually visual feeder. The aim of this research is to determine the best photoperiod in larvae of age 3 – 27 days so as to generate growth and survival rate climbing perch of larvae highest in aquarium with defferent of photoperiod. The usage of the research are expected that different photoperiod can influence the growth and survival of climbing perch larvaes. The research was conducted on April - May 2016 in Laboratory of Budidaya Perairan, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. This research methods used completely randomized design (CDR) with use six treatments and three replications of photoperiod those are P1(24L:0D), P2(18L:6D), P3(12L:12D), P4(6L:18D), P5(0L:24D). The parameters of this research are growth, survival rate of climbing perch larvae and maintenance of water quality. The result showed that photoperiod has significant effect of survival rate, weight growth and length growth from climbing perch photoperiod for 24 hours each day  (treatments P1) has the highest result for survival rate and growth 81.11%±2.01%,  30.68mm±0.14mm, 0.46g±0.04g. The value of water quality during larvae rearing were temperature 27 – 31 oC, pH 5.70 – 7.10, dissolved oxygen 4.56 – 7.58 mg.L-1 and ammonia 0.02 – 0.11 mg.L-1. Keywords: Climbing perch, Growth, Photoperiod, Survival rat

    ABSTRACT The climbing perch (Anabas testudineus) is very difficult to spawn naturally in the cultivation environment. The aim of this research was to know the best dose of broiler pituitary extract for latency period, fecundity, fertilized egg percentage, hatching egg percentage, survival rate of climbing perch (D1-D3) larvae. This research had been conducted from April-May 2015 at Laboratory of Budidaya Perairan,  Aquaculture Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya Unversity, Indralaya. This research method used completely randomized design (CRD) with four treatments and three replications. Females broodstock were induced by broiler pituitary extract with different doses that were, 400 mg/kg, 500 mg/kg, 600 mg/kg body weight and Induced by that synthetic gonadotrophin hormone (positif control) 0,5 ml/kg body weight. The parameters observed during the research were latency period, fecundity, fertilized egg percentage, hatching egg percentage, survival rate of climbing perch (D1-D3) larvae and water qualities. The result of this research showed that if considered from latency period and fecundity that synthetic gonadotrophin hormone more effective compared with broiler pituitary extract, but if in terms of the fertilized egg percentage, hatching egg percentage, and survival rate of climbing perch (D1-D3) larvae, that synthetic gonadotrophin hormone as effective as broiler pitutary extract.     ABSTRACT The aims of this research were to determining the right changed periode of Artemia sp., Moina sp., and artificial feed as fed of climbing perch (Anabas testudineus) larvae to growth and survival rate.The research used completely randomized design with three treatments and three replications. The treatment was difference changed periode of Artemia sp., Moina sp., and artificial feed as fed of climbing perch (Anabas testudineus) larvae. Artemia sp. were fed at 3–15 days after hatching,  Moina sp. were fed at 14 – 24 days after hatching and artificial feed at 21–33 days after hatching (I: 3-15, II: 14-24, III: 21-33) as treatment A;  Artemia sp. were fed at  3–11 days after hatching,  Moina sp. were fed at 10 – 20 days after hatching, and artificial feed at 17–33 days after hatching (I: 3-11, II: 10-20, III:17-33) as treatment B; Artemia sp. were fed at 3–7 days after hatching,  Moina sp. were fed at 6-18 days after hatching and artificial feed at 15–33 days after heatching ( I: 3-7, II: 6-18, III: 15-33) as treatment C. Fish were fed three times a day at 8 am, 10.30 am, 1 pm, 3.30 pm, 6 pm using at satiation method.Based on Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), the results showed significant difference effect in specific weight growth rate but no significant difference effect in specific lenght growth rate. Result of Honestly Significance Difference test showed the highest specific weight growth rate was treatment C, but no significant difference with treatment B. The best treatment for survival rate was treatment A  which significant difference with treatment C but no significant difference with treatment B. As long as research, water quality was in optimum range for  climbing perch (Anabas testudineus) larvae  rearing. Temperature was  27-28 oC , DO 3.38-5.06 mg.L-1 , pH 4.4-6.6, ammonia 0.002-0.008 mg.L-1. Keywords:Climbing perch, feed type, feed changing period, survival rate, growth rat

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakanmetode Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang masing masing perlakuan diulang sebanyak 3 kali ulangan. Denganperlakuan yaitu K1.Ikan betok dengan jenis kelamin jantan 30 ekor K2. Jenis kelamin ikan betok jantan dan betina30 ekor dan K3.Jenis kelamin Betina 30 ekor. Dari hasil penelitian terjadi pertumbuhan pada benih ikan betok,Pertumbuhan berat ikan betok yang tertinggi didapat pada perlakuan K 3 dengan jenis kelamin betina sebesar4,57 gram, sedangkan nilai terendah terdapat pada perlakuan K 2 dengan jenis kelamin jantan dan betina sebesar1,95 gram. Sedangkan pertumbuhan panjang benih ikan betok selama penelitian tertinggi pada perlakuan K 3dengan jenis kelamin betina sepanjang 1,34 cm, sedangkan yang terendah pada perlakuan K 2 dengan jeniskelamin jantan betina sepanjang 0,62 cm. Sedangkan, nilai kelangsungan hidup tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuanK 1 dengan jenis kelamin jantan dengan nilai 100 %, sedangkan nilai terendah terdapat pada perlakuan K 2dengan nilai 75,55 %
