    Abstract:

    Objective TO investigate the relationship between the external exposure categories and urinary 1-hydroxypyrene concentrations in Coke Oven workers.Methods 120 Coke Oven worker from a Coke Oven plant and 30 controls were enrolled into this study.Spot urine samples were obtained at the end of a work 6 hours and personal information was collected by quesfionnake.A method of alkaline hydrolysis combined with high performance liquid chromatography was employed to measure 1-hydroxypyrene in urine.Results Significant correlation was found between external exposure categories and urinary 1hydroxypyrene concentrations(Spearman correlation coefficient=0.653,P0.01).When adjsted for external exposure,smoking significantly influence urinary 1-hydroxypyrene concentrations(P0.01).Conclusions There is a signficant association between external exposure categories and urinary 1-hydroxypyrene concentrations in Coke Oven workers.Urinary 1-hydroxypyrene concentrations in Coke Oven workers could be used aS biomarker to evaluate PAHs exposure of Coke Oven workers.

    Abstract Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, which are carcinogenic and mutagenic to humans, are primary compounds in Coke Oven emissions generated by the coking process. The authors examined the relationship between Coke Oven workers' urinary 1-hydroxypyrene levels and their exposure to polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, as determined on the basis of work category and pre- and postshift effects in a steel plant in Taiwan. Eighty-eight Coke Oven workers constituted the exposed group, and 61 office workers in a steel plant located 1.5 km from the Coke plant constituted the control group. The benzene-soluble fraction in personal air samples, and 1-hydroxypyrene in urine samples, were measured for 3 consecutive days. The 3-day urinary 1-hydroxypyrene sampling results for topside workers (i.e., those most heavily exposed to emissions) in the Coke Oven group, and for the control group, as determined from postshift geometric means, were 23.8 μg/gm creatinine and 0.3 μg/gm creatinine, respectively.     Abstract:

    In order to improve the level of control and management of Coke Oven, the research on control and management integrated system is carried out. In modern advanced control system of Coke Oven, the control scheme of feedback combined with feed-forward, and control merged with management is widely used. The integrated control and management system of Coke Oven is introduced systematically, including the system model, production planning and management, heating control system, the model and method of evaluating temperature, intelligent combustion control and the pressure control gas collector of Coke Oven. It is pointed out that the integration of control and management is the developing orientation of Coke Oven control system.

  • Intelligent Control of Coke Oven Production Process

    Abstract:

    According to the characteristics and control demand of Coke Oven, research on intelligent control of Coke Oven production process was carried. Firstly intelligent control structure of Coke Oven production process was established. Then intelligent control of blending coal, collecting main pressure, combustion and heating intelligent control of Coke Oven were discussed simply, while production planning and scheduling was discussed in detail. The control principle of combining the intermittent heating control with the heating gas flow adjustment was adopted, and fuzzy compound control was proposed to establish heating intelligent control strategy and model of Coke Oven, which combined feedback control, feedforward control and fuzzy intelligent control. Production planning and scheduling of Coke Oven were optimized by using dynamic programming and genetic algorithm. The practical running indicates that the system can effectively improve quality of Coke and decrease energy consumption, stabilize production of Coke Oven, and has great practical value.

    Abstract:

    Coke Oven production has the characteristic of nonlinear, large inertia, large disturbances highly-coup ling and so on. The control method of “Intermittent heating control” was adopted in traditional heating control system of Coke, and cannot satisfy the command of heating control on Coke Oven. The control principle of combining the “intermittent heating control” with the heating gas flow adjustment was adopted according to analyzing the difficulty and strategy of heating control on Coke Oven. On the basis of studying deficiency of the existing control strategy, fuzzy control was proposed to establish heating intelligent control of Coke Oven. The algorithm of intelligent fuzzy immune PID control was designed and simulation of Coke Oven production was carried. The results show that the intelligent fuzzy immune PID control has the advantages of shorter adjustment time, quicker response time, higher anti-interference ability better dynamic property and stability. It can reduce effectively the fluctuation of Coke Oven temperature, has better control property and practical value.

    Abstract:

    Coke Oven is a complex plant with the characteristics of large time-delay, strong non-linear, multivariable coupling and changeable parameters. The longitudinal temperature was affected by many reasons, the control principle of combining the intermittent heating control with the heating gas flow adjustment was adopted. Intelligent control methods, namely fuzzy control and neural network, were proposed to establish intelligent control strategy and model of Coke Oven, which combined two feedback control, one feed forward control and intelligent control. Initial gas flow was given by heating supplied feed forward model according to coking mechanism, and carbonization index feedback model was proposed in the model to revise the goal temperature to control coking management of Coke Oven. Flue temperature soft measurement model based on linear regression and neural network was built to supply temperature feedback control. According to artificial operation and actual condition, fuzzy controller was designed. Intelligent control methods were used to adjust stopping heating time and heating gas flow. The practical running results indicate that the system can achieve heating intelligent control of Coke Oven, stabilize production of Coke Oven, effectively improve quality of Coke and decrease energy consumption, and has great practical value.

    Against some problems existed in main data of Coke Oven buttress wall design and contradiction generated after actual commissioning,through 10 years or more,ACRE has systematically measured many Coke Oven foundations ranged from Coke Oven heating-up to normal production,obtained complete data,the data after improvement have been used in design and production.The proposal of improved design and application fruit were described in detail in this paper.

    The development history of macro-scale operations technology for China's Coke Oven was reviewed,the advantage of Coke Oven macro-scale operations technology was analyzed,the major Oven types of JN 60 type Coke Oven,7.63m Coke Oven,JNX 70 and JNX 3-70 type Coke Ovens as well as 5.5m and 6.25m stamp-charging Coke Ovens of macro-scale operations technology of Coke Oven in China nowadays were described mainly.Several factors which should be considered in Coke Oven type selection were given.

    The spring configuration and management method of German 7.63m Coke Oven is compared with that of JN series Coke Oven in China,both advantage and disadvantage of spring configuration and management method of these two types of Coke Ovens is described.As viewed from analysis and comparison,together with the enlargement of Coke Oven increase of Oven chamber dimension,especially for the increase in length and height,the protective load on height of unit Oven proper should be increased.

    In Coke Oven design,by means of increasing Oven chambers and shortening Coke Oven cycling time,Coke Oven productivity and output can be increased to max.extent.Automatic set-up system of pushing plan in Coke Oven production given in this paper(PCS) can realize automatic set-up of short cycling time and Coke Oven pushing operation plan.In the production of one 2×65 Ovens Coke Oven,when the operating time of the quenching car is 8 minutes,the cycling time can be shortened to 18 hours.
