    Abstract:

    Aimed at the Color Matching of spot Color ink for offset printing,on the basis of analysis of existing theory of Color Matching,the principle of tristimulus values Color Matching was utilized,VB6.0 was used for compiling software of Color Matching,the Color Matching system applicable for spot Color ink in offsetting printing was designed,and the Color difference,brilliance difference and chromaticity difference between standard Color sample and Color swatch were calculated according to Eab,ΔL*,Δa* and Δb*,so as to judge the accuracy of Color Matching.It is shown by the test result of Color Matching that the Color difference of most Color samples is relatively small,the accuracy of Color Matching is high and speed is quick,and that Color Matching can be applied in practical production.

  • Establishment of Color Matching Database Based on MySQL

    Abstract:

    Color Matching system is a specialized software solution geared towards spot Color Matching. It contains spectral reflectance import, data calculation, and formula export. In virtue of a generic open data base connectivity (ODBC) interface, data analysis is performed by statistics and analysis software connecting to a database. The Color Matching database (CMD) application is developed in ink formulation studies, and is established including four modules: primary ink information database, substrate information database, spot Color database (target Color), and ink formula database. This paper describes the design and establishing of CMD. The database is built on MySQL. Formula ink can be selected by searching target Color number. The results show that the adoption of MySQL program application is feasible, flexible, low-cost and user-friendly way of managing research data in Color Matching system.

    Abstract:

    This paper expands the study of XUT-CAPT-V2.1 System, which developed by Xian University of Technology. It analyzes how the different factors, including additive (diluent), substrates, printing pressure and printing speed, influence the reproduction of spot Color Matching in gravure. The results show that it must firstly ensure the accuracy of Color Matching trend with the deliquating of the three primary Colors, which use for Matching in the experiments, and then keep the Color Matching effect as accurate as possible and the Color gamut as wide as possible. On different substrates, the printing effect is different with the same ink. The density of ink is changed in according to different printing pressure and speed.

  • Mathematical Model and Implementation of the Density-Based Gravure Spot-Color Matching

    Abstract:

    In the paper, the spot-Color was divided into ten Color areas based on the theory of Munsell Color system, then, the model samples in IGT was produced according to each Color area. After measuring and analyzing the data of the proofs, Gravure spot-Color Matching based on masking equation by the means of ten Color areas was established. Finally, the paper validated the precision of Gravure spot-Color Matching model by the method of Color difference. The functional module of Gravure spot-Color Matching in the commercial spot-Color Matching system was developed using C++ programming language and MySQL Database. The running result of spot-Color Matching software indicated that the Gravure spot-Color Matching system based on the proposed method is easy to come true by computer programming, and the Color difference between Matching Color and target Color is suitable range (△E≤6 ).

    Abstract:

    Based on the characteristics of Color Matching and the mixed Color theory, the main related factors in the process of Color Matching are analyzed and abstracted. Mathematical modeling and curve fitting methods are applied to the study of Color Matching in this paper. On the basis of the data analysis of dyeing samples, the mathematical model of Color Matching in textile dyeing is established based on the different concentration of three mixed Colorants. Furthermore, least square Fitting is applied to solve this model. Experiment illustrates that this Color Matching model is simple, clear and effective which provides the good basis for solving the exact concentration of three Colorants.

    Abstract:

    The modeling and problem solving for Color Matching in textile dyeing are discussed in this paper. Considering the poor effect and precision of the traditional textile dyeing Color Matching method and the non-linearity and uncertainty in Color Matching process for textile dyeing, a computer Color Matching method by numerical analysis is proposed and a mathematic model based on the mixtures of three Colorants is established. By doing data fitting and using Newton-Krylov algorithm the solution of dye recipes can be got. This method has showed a prospective use in Color Matching for textile dyeing not only for its easy understanding but also for its better accuracy.
