Considering the prerogative of the Entities formed by the Federal Council of Social Work and the 27 Regional Councils of Social Work and its Sections, called the CFESS / Cress Assembly, of orientation and professional supervision of social workers in Brazil, this dissertation sought to understand how the Brazilian Social Work incorporated the agenda of sexual diversity and documentary research, through the National Meeting Resolutions of the CFESS / Cress Group, from 1992 to 2017. We sought to demonstrate how this agenda gained density in the CFESS / Cress Assembly, and these actions proved to be strategies for the implementation of the Professional Political Ethical Project. Co-Authors: Vb Khomane, Dk Kamble, Kb Kamble, Kb Kubade, Sh Shinde
    Abstract:

Burfi is one of the highly nutritious khoa based indigenous milk products. A number of ingredients incorporated in Burfi to enhance acceptability of Burfi. Considering the nutritional importance and health benefits of garden Cress. The present investigation was aimed to incorporate garden Cress (Lepidium sativum L.) in Burfi. It is a rich source of Iron. and it used in curing many health problems such as hypertension, Kidney diseases, prevention of cancer and mild glycemia. Therefore here an attempt was made to develop protocol for utilization of Garden Cress for preparation of Burfi. Garden Cress was added in seven different forms viz., Whole garden Cress seeds power (A), Roasted garden Cress seeds powder (B), Microwave processed garden Cress seeds powder (C), Garden Cress seeds in paste form (D), Boiling with tray drying garden Cress seeds powder (E), Whole garden Cress (F) and Sprouted garden Cress seeds powder (G). Initially the form and level was optimized on the basis of sensory evaluation. It was found that the Burfi prepared by addition of microwave processed garden Cress seeds powder had obtained maximum scored among other six forms under study and this selected form had scored 7.95, 8.10, 8.00 and 8.01 for colour and appearance, Body and texture, Flavour and overall acceptability respectively. Consumers as a whole liked the product liked ‘very much’ with an average score of 8.01.

  • Koppert Cress: Creation of New Markets - Koppert Cress: Creation of New Markets
    2012
    Co-Authors: Orietta Marsili, Tao Yue
    Abstract:

Koppert Cress, a Dutch horticultural company founded by Rob Baan, specializes in growing and selling micro-vegetables that promote health or prevent disease. Its business began under the name Koppert Trading before Baan acquired it in 2002. In the five years after the takeover, Baan redesigned the business model, developed new products, expanded production capacity, invested in the latest technology, enlarged the work force, recruited talented managers, and made Koppert Cress a world-class player in the niche market of chefs and restaurants. Its business model centered on innovative price setting. Unlike other Dutch horticultural companies, Koppert Cress detached itself from auctions that determined agricultural prices. Instead, it made up ‘imaginative’ prices, selling high premium products by providing unique added value to customers. Baan contemplated on the option to expand his business to the consumer market, a dream he had cherished ever since he went into the agricultural business over 20 years before. He wondered whether he had all the resources and capabilities in place to create better value for mass consumers without disturbing his up-market niche. In addition, as the consumer market was harder to predict than the chefs’ market, he had to devise the best strategy to minimize risk and increase his chance of success.

  • bioavailability and metabolism of benzyl glucosinolate in humans consuming indian Cress tropaeolum majus l
Molecular Nutrition & Food Research, 2016
Co-Authors: Stefanie Platz, Carla Kuhn, Sonja Schiess, Monika Schreiner, Margrit Kemper, O Pivovarova, A Pfeiffer, Sascha Rohn
    Abstract:

SCOPE Benzyl isothiocyanate (BITC), which occurs in Brassicales, has demonstrated chemopreventive potency and cancer treatment properties in cell and animal studies. However, fate of BITC in human body is not comprehensively studied. Therefore, the present human intervention study investigates the metabolism of the glucosinolate (GSL) glucotropaeolin and its corresponding BITC metabolites. Analyzing BITC metabolites in plasma and urine should reveal insights about resorption, metabolism, and excretion. METHODS AND RESULTS Fifteen healthy men were randomly recruited for a cross-over study and consumed 10 g freeze-dried Indian Cress as a liquid preparation containing 1000 μmol glucotropaeolin. Blood and urine samples were taken at several time points and investigated by LC-ESI-MS/MS after sample preparation using SPE. Plasma contained high levels of BITC-glutathione (BITC-GSH), BITC-cysteinylglycine (BITC-CysGly), and BITC-N-acetyl-L-cysteine (BITC-NAC) 1-5 h after ingestion, with BITC-CysGly appearing as the main metabolite. Compared to human plasma, the main urinary metabolites were BITC-NAC and BITC-Cys, determined 4-6 h after ingestion. CONCLUSION This study confirms that consumption of Indian Cress increases the concentration of BITC metabolites in human plasma and urine. The outcome of this human intervention study supports clinical research dealing with GSL-containing innovative food products or pharmaceutical preparations.
