Simulation Study on Crosstalk and Radiation of Wire inside Automobile
Computer Simulation, 2008Co-Authors: Zou Zhi-xingAbstract:The electromagnetic Compatibility already becomes the important aspect in automobile design, especially when designing the wires’ distribution. The numerical simulation method used to study automobile’s EMC (Electro Magnetic Compatibility) problem has many merits. How to establish the suitable simulation model for automobile was discussed. Through analyzing the coupling between wires due to connected wires or holes,it is known that when the connected wires drill through the holes, the coupling degree between wires is growing rapidly. The automobile body affects the electrical filed inside and outside. To the automobile model and the receiving antenna in 100MHz,the reserved carriage is the proper place to fix the receiving antenna because of less interference.

Hearing aids-acoustic and EMC test methods/standards
Proceedings of 18th Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society, 1996Co-Authors: G. Ravn, T.l. MadsenAbstract:A general requirement standard for hearing aids regarding the medical devices directive is being prepared at the moment. The basis of this standard (EN 50220) is the IEC 118 series of standards, which are widely used for documenting the electroacoustic performance of hearing aids. In 1995 standardisation initiatives were taken to include measurements and classification of hearing aids with regard to Electro Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) in the IEC 118 series of standards. This paper describes the technical aspects of the IEC hearing aid test standards.

A new high-frequency simulation model for multi-winding transformers used in switched-mode power supplies
2016 IEEE Energy Conversion Congress and Exposition (ECCE), 2016Co-Authors: Ripunjoy Phukan, Lakshmi Ravi, Rangarajan M. Tallam, Amirhossein ShahiriniAbstract:In this paper, a new high-frequency simulation model for multi-winding transformers used in switched-mode power supplies (SMPS) is presented. The model can be constructed from simple impedance measurements on a transformer and using information that can typically be found on component datasheets. The model can be applied to the design of an SMPS to determine peak voltage and current stress on the switching device, and to predict conducted emissions for Electro-Magnetic Compatibility (EMC). The model can be implemented through any commercially available circuit simulation package. Simulation and experimental results obtained on a high-voltage one-switch and two-switch Flyback SMPS are provided to validate the modeling method.
