Construction and Enumeration of Steiner Triple Systems with Order V
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014Co-Authors: Wanxi ChouAbstract:This paper describes the basic concept of constructing the large sets of Steiner triple systems of order v. It proposes a method of constructing the large sets of Steiner triple systems by using permutation of original matrix, and it presents Entire Procedure of constructing the large sets of Steiner triple systems of order 7. It verified the number of disjoint Steiner triple systems.

Construction and enumeration of Steiner triple systems with order s×t
2011 Chinese Control and Decision Conference (CCDC), 2011Co-Authors: Wanxi ChouAbstract:The basic ideology of constructing Steiner triple systems with order s×t is described. The edges matrix of a complete graph with arbitrary order v is defined. A method of constructing Steiner triple systems with order s×t is proposed. The Entire Procedure of constructing Steiner triple systems with order 39 is presented. The problems of both construction and enumeration Steiner triple systems with higher order are solved.

one pot synthesis of 2 aminoquinoline based alkaloids from acetonitrile
Organic and Biomolecular Chemistry, 2012Co-Authors: Takashi Tomioka, Yusuke Takahashi, Toshihide MaejimaAbstract:α-Diaminoboryl carbanions, readily prepared from acetonitrile, stereoselectively convert 2-nitrobenzaldehydes into nitrophenyl (Z)-acrylonitriles. Subsequent reductive cyclization leads to a series of 2-aminoquinoline derivatives. The Entire Procedure is practically operated in a single flask.

Comparing the Effect of Tourniquet vs Tourniquet-Less in Simultaneous Bilateral Total Knee Arthroplasties.
The Journal of arthroplasty, 2018Co-Authors: Mohamed Shaher Hasanain, Dragos Apostu, Attaallh Alrefaee, Samih TarabichiAbstract:Abstract Background Total knee arthroplasty (TKA) is a commonly performed Procedure worldwide for the treatment of knee joint disease. Tourniquet is frequently used during the Entire Procedure to reduce blood loss and increase surgical comfort. On the other hand, tourniquet-related complications exist, and there are still controversies whether benefits outweigh the risks. Methods Patients undergoing simultaneous TKAs had one knee assigned to group A (use of tourniquet during the Entire Procedure) and the other knee assigned to group B (use of tourniquet only during cementation). Blood loss, intraoperative complications, implant alignment, soft tissue swelling, pain score, and range of motion were analyzed. Results Fifty-four patients undergoing 108 TKAs were included in the study. Total blood loss was almost 2 times higher in group B knees compared with group A. No difference was observed between groups in implant alignment, soft tissue swelling, pain, range of motion, or other early postoperative complications. Conclusion Tourniquet use in TKAs during the Entire surgical Procedure reduces total blood loss, without an increase in early postoperative complications.

Driving non-Gaussian to Gaussian states with linear optics
Physical Review A, 2003Co-Authors: Dan E. Browne, Jens Eisert, Stefan Scheel, Martin B. PlenioAbstract:We introduce a protocol that maps finite-dimensional pure input states onto approximately Gaussian states in an iterative Procedure. This protocol can be used to distill highly entangled bipartite Gaussian states from a supply of weakly entangled pure Gaussian states. The Entire Procedure requires only the use of passive optical elements and photon detectors, which solely distinguish between the presence and absence of photons.
