Moreover, since the cumulative physical deterioration of the building envelope plays a relevant role in altering the indoor microclimate and building thermal performance, it is essential to combine both building envelope and indoor microclimate monitoring in an integrated diagnostic approach. The microclimate diagnosis of the Vleeshuis museum main Exhibition Hall here discussed is based on infield instrumental environmental monitoring and Infrared thermography (IRT) on the building masonries. The IRT was integrated with the analysis of the building documentation. Further, the microclimate analysis was performed by combining the conventional microclimate data analysis with statistical tests. The integrated diagnosis as presented in this study allowed to evaluate the long-term indoor microclimate variability consequent on outdoor and indoor heat and moisture loads variation as well as the identification of the sources of infiltrative water in the building masonries.

Considering that in heritage and museum buildings, the indoor microclimate should simultaneously ensure comfort of people and safety for the cultural heritage, its management takes on a multidimensional nature. Although in the literature IMQ certification methodologies for people already exist, these do not encompass the cultural heritage. We believe this integration, would be a valid management instrument for heritage buildings, historic houses and museums, especially if they are not equipped with full microclimate control systems. However, because environmental data acquisition activities have direct influence on the certification results, it is essential to evaluate them. These methodological aspects are here discussed on the basis of results from a microclimate monitoring in the main Exhibition Hall of Vleeshuis museum in Antwerp. Further, in accordance to the introduced methodological considerations, an IMQ certification model for building users and movable heritage is proposed.

Controlling the indoor environment of site museum buildings with large space layout typically consumes large amounts of energy. Most of the energy load needed to preserve relics is dissipated throughout the non-occupied space, because the environments that contain the relics occupy relatively little space compared to the entire Exhibition Hall. In this study, an energy efficient local ventilation system was proposed to independently control the environment of a funerary pit, which was preserved within a museum separate from the large Exhibition Hall. An experimental Hall, which consists of a funerary pit and an experimental local ventilation system, was built to simulate a site museum building. Experiments were conducted to investigate the system’s performance and to validate its ability to preserve historical terracotta figurines in their semi-exposed pits within the Exhibition Hall. The study evaluated the stability of the conservation environment and the system’s energy usage by assessing the effects of the ventilation rate. The experimental results showed that the local ventilation system provides an energy-saving strategy supporting the environmental control of the funerary pit. The LV system significantly decreased temperature fluctuations in the funerary pit and temperature differences across semi-exposed relics. The system could be used to control the local preservation environment of the funerary pit separately from a large space Exhibition Hall.

An air curtain system has been proposed to separate the local environment of funerary pit from its large-space Exhibition Hall. The isolation efficiency of the air curtain is formulated by using stream function method in this study. The geometrical dimensions and jet flow parameters were investigated in this study through the theoretical formula, to determine their effects on the isolation efficiency and suitable operation mode, respectively. An experimental setup was constructed to investigate the performance and validate the feasibility of an air curtain system for preservation of historical terracotta figurines in their semi-exposed pits in the Exhibition Hall. La imagen y la narrativa como herramientas para el abordaje psicosocial en escenarios de violencia. Departamentos de Nariño y Putumayo
2021Co-Authors: Coral Coral, Brenda Camila, Guerrero Mejía, Daniela Vanessa, Erazo, José Ignacio, Diaz Diaz, Julieth Vannesa, Guevara Belalcazar, Suleima BanesaAbstract:En las presentes líneas del trabajo académico, encontramos el mensaje contundente que proyecta una imagen y el poder resiliente que trae la narrativa, siendo estas dos herramientas para abordar lo psicosocial en contextos de violencia, como es muy identificable en Colombia con su conflicto armado interno. Basados en libro: “Voces: Relatos de violencia y esperanza en Colombia”, que el “Banco mundial” lo edito en 2009, abordamos el “relato número 4: Ana Ligia”, llevando el caso en mención a un análisis de la situación afrontada, abordándolo con preguntas de tipo “estratégicas, circulares y reflexivas” respectivamente, para ahondar en el compendio de información que nos presenta el relato. Seguidamente encontramos el análisis del caso “Peñas Coloradas”, identificando los emergentes psicosociales que se desplegaron tras la entrada a territorio de las “Fuerzas Armadas”, así también, “los impactos generados en la población” por la estigmatización de ser colaboradores y auspiciantes del terrorismo, lo anterior permite postular acciones de apoyo, como plantear estrategias para el “abordaje psicosocial” en la comunidad en mención, que tanto lo necesita. En conclusión, en el presente documento se adentra en la “experiencia” de “Foto Voz”, que conlleva el análisis y reflexión de los “escenarios de violencia” que se han presentado en diferentes municipios de Nariño y Putumayo, donde es clave que a través de la imagen podemos identificar realidades que deja el conflicto, orientados desde narrativas que recrean la memoria permitiendo recrear una nueva visión en los escenarios psicosociales, lo anterior lo encontramos en salón expositivo plasmado en un blog.In the present lines of academic work, we find the overwhelming message that projects an image and the resilient power that the narrative brings, being these two tools to address the psychosocial in contexts of violence, as is very identifiable in Colombia with its internal armed conflict. Based on the book: "Voices: Stories of violence and hope in Colombia", and published by the “World Bank” in 2009, we address "story number 4: Ana Ligia", taking the case in reference to an analysis of the situation faced, addressing it with "strategic, circular and reflective" questions respectively, to delve into the compendium of information presented by the story. Next, we find the analysis of the case "Peñas Coloradas", identifying the psychosocial emergencies that were deployed after the entry into the territory of the “Armed Forces”, as well as the impacts generated on the population by the stigmatization of being collaborators and sponsors of terrorism, the above It allows to postulate support actions, such as proposing strategies for the “psychosocial approach” in the community in question, which so much needs it. In addition, the work takes us into the experience of “Foto Voz”, which leads to the analysis and reflection of the violence scenarios that have occurred in different municipalities of Nariño and Putumayo, where it is key that through the image we can identify realities that leave the conflict, as opportunities that the community can prospect after it, oriented from narratives that recreate memory allowing to recreate a new vision in psychosocial settings, we find the above in an Exhibition Hall reflected in a blog
